I’ve been in vocational ministry since 1996. I have been around notable pastors, speakers, leadership development types, and weel-known worship leaders/ musicians, but I have never been of note. My public speaking skills aren't fantastic, and I'm not a super inspirational leader. Most people who know me well like me (I think), but I’m not first on the party invite list. People don’t gravitate to me because of my charisma. I am just an ordinary guy who loves Jesus and wants other people to love Jesus too. Isn't that why we got into this? How do we keep our focus on the important stuff? How do we work to be present with the people right here in our little orbits? We can toil in obscurity and still be very impactful in our work. Maybe we don’t have a large circle, but we all have at least one or two people we can invest in and disciple in the way of Jesus. Some of us have several people to encourage. It’s where the work is and where the kingdom happens.
