I had to it turn off at the extended scene of the 12-year-old boy being beaten. That's a nope from me!

I think it's largely due to the episodic nature of this story, or maybe the changing roster of writers, but this is the point in this season where I'm starting to feel a little fatigued. Stakes aren't really heightening from episode to episode - feels more like I'm watching Quantum Leap - Where are we this episode, what bizarre thing'll happen this time? I'm enjoying this season - and this episode has a lot to enjoy (especially the eeire phone call, and the father's back story) - but the cyclical, episodic nature is starting to feel a little predictable.
