A wonderful, short and sweet, podcast about medical issues. These two Texan doctors do a superb job bringing complex medical topics down to a level that the average American can easily understand. They also aren't afraid to get into some controversial medical topics like the studies (or lack of studies) on gun violence. I recommend this podcast to the non-medical people in my family so that they can have better health literacy and take control of their own health from everything from the HPV vaccine to diabetes to safe gun storage. I started listening to this a while back and really enjoyed the episodes as a nice break from studying during college. As a medical student, I have rapidly outgrew the information they provide but I do enjoy listening to the way they explain complex medical topics to help with my own explainations for patients. The only downsides of this podcast is the audio quality isn't as good as it could be and I think it could improve from a more regular release schedule but they are actual working physicians with lives who are doing this podcast to help people and not to turn a profit so i'll give them a break.
