This podcast emerges from my deep love for, and great hope found in Isaiah 9, that the "people walking in darkness have seen a great light" and "on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned." This has long been my favorite Christmas passage and the daily episodes of this podcast will reflect this truth that no matter how dark the dark for you and me this year, and no matter how dead the death, we are still among those who see the great light. And while some of us, because of aging and disease, may see the horizon more clearly than in the past, what we are glimpsing is not the setting of the sun but rather the dawning of the Son who always comes with healing in his wings--in the midst of COVID-19, in the midst of election chaos, and in the midst of personal crises. Friend, there is light ahead and that light, says St. John, has overcome the darkness. Now and always. Conrad L. Kanagy, kanagy.conrad@gmail.com.
