I've only listened to a few episodes but have enjoyed the interesting, frustrating, sympathetic characters. The doctor is... a terrible doctor, frankly, and I hope to learn more about why she is the way she is. If she were a nurse she'd already be in jail. Also there's a bartender with a voice like hot buttered rum. And demons. (Also there's demons, not a voice like hot buttered rum and demons.)

unfortunately, gave up partway through first episode. borderline unlistenable voice acting. sorry!

Really enjoying this story so far. The audio quality is good and the voice acting truly brings the writing to life. Lots of raw emotions. I adore and appreciate the tidbits at the end of each episode as well. Check this pod out 👍👌

I am sticking with this show because there is a lot of heart in it and I want to see what happens. They have a lot of great information and the end of each episode and take care to acknowledge and represent many different cultures, genders and practices. However, the character of Maria is so unbelievably insufferably awful, and so one dimensional that there is nothing to root for. Unless there is some kind of redemption arch or vulnerability there, the writers really did that character wrong.

Afflicted is an interesting podcast for sure, there are a lot of things happening, a lot of characters to keep track of, a lot of drama. For now characters seem a bit one dimensional but I really hope it will change down the line. Definitely give it a try!

This podcast is fucking amazing. The plot is amazing and genuinely creepy at times, and I have never once been able to guess what’s going to happen next(always a good thing). Also love all of the queer and minority rep. Everyone that is a fan of horror should listen to this. I hate Dr. Torres and think she is a terrible doctor, I hope we get to learn more about her in later episodes!
