Growing up, I’ve had a lot of issues I’ve seen people experience and experiences of my own that I’ve never had the confidence to actually speak about ever because I’ve been so scared of what people would think of me. One thing quarantine has done for me, is make me realise that I am my own person and my opinion matters, to if not anyone else, myself. I’ve been keeping so much inside of me and like I say in this video, I didn’t really want people to find out about this page, but I want to be challenged, I want to be educated, and I want to bring to light issues that aren’t spoken about a lot, especially in the South Asian community. —————————————————————————-The topic of conversation this week is mental health for men. I could go on and on about this topic but I decided to keep this rant short and sweet because it’s the first, I will definitely be delving into this later 😭

For me this is a personal issue, my dad, being a public figure, has had to go through copious amounts of comments and remarks that can affect anyone physically and mentally. The same goes for my brothers; yet, men’s mental health is rarely acknowledged, like In many communities; why is this? In this rant I go into detail of my opinion. Baring in mind, my opinion is simply from my experiences and what I’ve seen first hand, people will, of no doubt, have different opinions. Criticise me, disagree with me, write your thoughts down on this page; tell me what I should look into more; let’s have full on debates! This topic in particular, hits home, and I want to know why people have certain opinions towards it. 1 in 4 men suffer from mental health issues, more than 70% of people who commit suicide and have suicidal thoughts are men, yet despite this, only 36% men are getting therapeutic help? Things need to change, in general about mental health and the way it’s dealt with. I can’t wait to go more into this topic after hearing your opinions. I have seen all the topics you guys have given me, and over the next few weeks, I’m gonna be answering them, maybe even get some of you to do it with me 🥺

Spread the words guys 🤍
