Take charge as in proverbs 22:6,   Instrusts us to bring them up.  they are a parents responsibility and we made a promise to lead guide and assist along until they mature.

   Behold, children are a heritage from the lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth.         Psalms 127: 3-4

 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.           John 1:12

 most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born-again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.      John 3:3

 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God,the Lord is one!  "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And all these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.  "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.                Deuteronomy 6: 5,6,7

   Gods words are in abundance for us to understand the nature and  love. the  many blessings awaiting on us to accept.
