Welcome to my blog!

I am interested in educational technology, instructional design, online teaching and learning, and everything in between. By day I am an instructional designer of online college courses. In the evenings I assist online educational technology graduate courses through Michigan State University. The students in these courses are generally frontline K-12 educators passionate about integrating technology into their teaching practice in meaningful ways.

From August 2007-June 2009 I taught elementary students online at the virtual school Commonwealth Connections Academy. I draw on this experience, along with my brick-and-mortar teaching experience, to inform my current understanding of using technology at the K-12 level. I earned my Masters of Education with a concentration in Technology and Learning through Michigan State, and completed 21/30 credits completely online.
