On the free stuff for educators front – Victory! Prezi is this cool new software that takes the linear nature out of presentations, and makes them more like a big graphic organizer or related scene, with images, text, zoom and navigation capabilities. In response to a call for reduced subscription rates for educational use, Prezi is offering the upgraded Pro version FREE for students and teachers.

I think this is a really smart move. If teachers and students start switching to Prezi, and move away from PowerPoint, this would be great publicity for Prezi. When these students go into the workplace, will they take their Prezi skills with them?

How long before we view PowerPoint presentations like we view cassette tapes?
