This Episode of the SHAPESHIFT Radio Podcast explores the importance of Social Media and review sights and asks the question, are negative comments deal breakers?
Social media and all the sites that pop up every day inviting and allowing people to comment on who you are, how you do business and whether or not someone liked the experience or not, means that every business owner, expert or coach out there has to deal with the eventual reality of a negative comment. Whether warranted or not, the more growth you have as a business, the more chances and opportunities for less the perfect reviews to show up for public scrutiny.
Positive statements and comments, reviews and testimonials are always lovely to receive and everyone wants them, handling those are pretty simple. However, when the reality of someone who isn’t happy, or for some reason posts something less than nice about you, your services or products you face the choice of what to do next. Do you remove the negative comment? Do you respond? How do you respond? Do you never allow yourself to be open to any comments whatsoever?
Whether we like it or not, we are subject to the review of our peers, our clients and customers and the public at large like never before. Even our competition can weigh in on our public profiles if they so choose and unless we block everything, we are subject to having to deal with situations as they arise.
How you represent yourself to the public eye is an ongoing conversation that we at the SHAPESHIFT Radio Podcast take very seriously because it can make a huge difference to the future growth of your positive and reputation.
