This song was written many years ago in a way that surprised me at the time. I remember sitting down with the guitar and my little cassette tape recorder. I pushed record and then began to play. This song came out almost exactly like you'll hear on this recording. One of the few times when I felt like a song was given to me instead of written by me. It's a simple little song that always makes me smile. Love to all of you!JB
When I’m Here With YouWords & Music by John Barrett & JW Brown
Well when I die just bury meWherever you please, wherever you pleaseAnd I hope you wont’ be needin me
Yeah when I die and rise aboveJust cover my body with the cold damp mudIt don’t matter to me, it don’t matter to me
Well it don’t matter to me you knowI lose my body and I’ll use my soulIt don’t matter to me, it don’t matter to me
But when I’m here with you you knowEverything matters and it goes so slowWhen I’m Here With You
Well when I die just bury meWherever you please, wherever you pleaseAnd I hope you wont’ be needin me
