Love love love. Once it be omes edge of seatIt stays edge of seat.
This show had me hooked at once. The acting is simply outstanding, so is the production. You find yourself crying, raging, doubting with Porter, and it tears you apart. At the same time, there´s an ongoing investigation into the murder of his girlfriend, of which he himself is accused. If you are not afraid of emotions, this is certainly a show worth trying out.
Absolutely amazingly written, thrilling, the acting and sounddeisgn was so good and immersive! Can't recommend enough.
Excellent contemporary drama which ratchets up the tension as the seasons move along. An interesting departure from more traditional storytelling where the main protagonist is not that like able thanks to various personality quirks , which is half of his problem in the story, but an interesting perspective change for a listener used the more usual story protagonist.
Has potential, just too slow. Only listened to season 1, the first 10 episodes. The first and last episode had me, but everything in the middle felt like it could've happened so much faster, just a lot of fluff that didn't leave me wanting more.Edit: Will do! Sci-fi is one of favorite genres! Thank you for the heads up!
Boom: A Serial DramaI am sorry you didn't like the show. Hopefully you'll give my other shows a try! (Margaritas & Donuts is mini-series and Apollyon is sci-fi.)
Season 1 surprised me by being a touching story about recovery from PTSD. In Season 2, the creators decided to use one of my least favorite methods of padding a story out for a longer number of episodes, i.e. pulling the "I won't tell anyone vital information that might be crucial to someone's safety", at which point, I found my time could be better used listening to other shows.
I loved listening to this series on my commutes to and from work.
