Hazardous Weather Outlook. This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. Day one. Today and Tonight. Scattered rain showers and weak thunderstorms will gradually develop across the lower foothills and plains by early afternoon with light rain and snow showers persisting in the high foothills and mountains. Additional snowfall this afternoon will be under an inch above 10000ft. Across the plains, a few embedded thunderstorms could accompany the scattered rain showers with the strongest storms expected to be southeast of the I-76 corridor. These stronger storms will be capable of producing brief moderate rainfall, gusty winds up to 40 MPH and small hail. Showers will decrease this evening as the upper level disturbance leaves the state. Temperatures will be chilly for one more night before a warming trend develops through the upcoming week. Days two through seven. Monday through Saturday. Drier and warmer conditions are expected to spread across Colorado for much of the upcoming week as a strong upper level ridge builds into the state. There will only be isolated late day showers and thunderstorms, mainly over the higher terrain. Temperatures should get above seasonal normals by Wednesday and stay warm through Saturday. Spotter information statement. Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.

See you tomorrow!
