In June 2015 UMA entered into an agreement with AMBEST, the nation’s premier Member-owned, nationwide network of independent truck stops and service centers,and created a member benefit that allows UMA members to save substantially on their diesel fuel purchases, when using an authorized AMBEST location and the AMBEST Fuel Card. The program offers whole sale cost as determined by OPIS plus $0.09 or retail less $0.03, whichever is most beneficial to the UMA member at the time of purchase. While savings will vary with wholesale, retail prices, and region a member is in, we can safely estimate a typical member saves approximately $0.25 per gallon of diesel fuel. That means that on an average a 100-gal fill-up translates to roughly $26! Add that up across the year and a fleet of vehicles and… well… you get the pictureBut this benefit just keeps getting better because it not only helps the owner operator it also puts money in the drivers pocket and the benefits extend to the passengers also.
