0:59

of the Busted Open Podcast, Matt

1:01

Camp and I react to Solis

1:03

Ikoa's bloodline attacking Paul Heyman on

1:05

SmackDown, and how that moment at

1:07

Madison Square Garden affects the future

1:09

of the most powerful family in

1:12

WWE today. Let's go. This

1:15

is the Busted Open Podcast. There

1:19

were mean boys, Denise. There were so many mean

1:21

boys on SmackDown at the end of the show

1:23

last night, and they beat up Paul Heyman. I'm

1:26

going to say this for the first time ever. Poor

1:28

Paul Heyman. Speaking

1:31

of mean boys, after

1:33

last night, they went from boys to men.

1:37

I was very proud of that, Matt. You set me up for that.

1:40

Thank you very much, by the way. Oh,

1:42

Denise. But what

1:44

we're talking about, for those of you

1:46

guys who are wondering, are the events

1:48

that unfolded last night on SmackDown. What

1:51

a night. What a way to wrap

1:53

up the show. Of course, SmackDown was in

1:55

Madison Square Garden last night, the world's famous

1:58

arena. So I think all of us were

2:00

pretty much excited. Expecting a different kind of

2:02

a show and that is the show that

2:04

we got it started hot it ended hot

2:07

Let's go ahead and kick it off with how basically

2:10

the show took off because I feel

2:12

like that definitely ties into everything else

2:14

because it makes just a Look

2:17

makes a little bit more sense to explain it

2:19

from the beginning so basically what we started off

2:21

with Matt was we kicked off the show with

2:24

Randy Orton Cody Rhodes

2:26

and Kevin Owens Confronting

2:28

the bloodline and what ensued in

2:30

the first couple of minutes was

2:32

essentially this brawl that took place

2:35

in and out of the

2:37

ring to the point where the New

2:39

York Police Department had to come and

2:42

Escort the baby faces out and they

2:44

were kicked out of the arena Let's

2:46

start here first Um, how did you

2:48

feel about how they kicked off smackdown

2:50

and what we saw unfold here between

2:52

the baby faces and the heels? You

2:54

can't do it every show But when you start

2:56

a show that hot like that you grab the

2:59

audience right away if they're flipping around and they

3:01

see it They tune in late and all of

3:03

a sudden There's a brawl to start the show

3:05

and you got to get the police

3:07

involved and you got to get security involved in

3:09

the crowd It's hot they put a they sold

3:11

out the garden You could see how little of

3:14

a set they had last night and I love

3:16

that by the way I'd rather the crowd be

3:18

be the show than Tron's and all that stuff

3:20

and just let the Wrestling let the stories live

3:22

for themselves and they came out hot You know

3:25

what? I liked about this Denise I like the

3:27

baby faces taking it to the heels because they

3:29

didn't want to let them strike first Far

3:31

too often in the past you'd have

3:34

baby faces who would be a

3:36

little underhanded John Cena at times Did he'll stuff just

3:38

because he could and he would cut people down and

3:40

Hogan did that But then you'd have baby faces look

3:42

like dopes against heels and they'd have to wait for

3:45

them to take it to them No, they

3:47

know it's the bloodline They know it's dangerous

3:49

and it also gets this version of the

3:51

bloodline which you and I have both been

3:53

critical of and I will Say they have

3:55

made great course corrections in the last few

3:57

weeks. It makes the bloodline And

8:00

everybody took a step up and I think Jacob Fatou

8:02

being part of the group, especially what we saw at

8:05

the end of the night, that

8:07

group has leveled up. That group is where

8:09

it needs to be in

8:11

the grand scheme of things. And

8:14

he added just a different element

8:17

to the group. And the

8:19

presentation of Jacob Fatou, to your point, to

8:22

give him his own entrance, following up on

8:24

last week in the span of

8:26

eight days, they have made him super

8:28

special. Credit to the commentary, by the

8:30

way, as well. Wade and Corey, whether

8:32

it be last week or this week,

8:34

have sold the hell out of how

8:37

dangerous he is, as has Paul Heyman,

8:39

needing to be told, don't worry, he's

8:41

not here. Oh,

8:43

man, a bunch of good stuff.

8:45

So let's go ahead and segue

8:47

into the main event and what

8:49

we ended up seeing unfold here.

8:51

So we had the bloodline acknowledgement

8:54

ceremony. I thought that

8:56

this was going to be about

8:58

bringing in Jacob Fatou.

9:00

Of course, he has his solo

9:02

entrance. He looked very, very

9:04

cool. And also, I had noticed last week, and

9:06

I know a lot of people had already been

9:08

talking about this, but I noticed it more this

9:11

week, was how much weight Jacob Fatou lost. Because

9:14

again, I had posted that interview with Jacob

9:16

Fatou from November. And so

9:18

I'm looking at that video, and then I'm

9:20

looking at him coming out during the entrance,

9:22

and I'm like, oh, yeah, he really did

9:25

lose a lot of weight heading into his

9:27

debut, which is awesome. So he looks really

9:29

great. But anyway, so he comes out

9:32

there, and this ended up being a

9:34

ceremony where everybody is acknowledging and professing

9:36

their love and respect for solo sequoas

9:39

until they get to Paul Heyman.

9:42

And he brings out the neck piece

9:44

that Roman Reigns wears. And

9:46

all of a sudden, Paul Heyman is like sniffing it.

9:49

And he's looking at it like it's the ring from

9:51

Lord of the Rings. And

9:53

dude decides he is not going

9:56

to acknowledge solo sequoas and stays

9:58

true and loyal to Roman Reigns.

10:00

This of course causes the bloodline

10:02

to take him out. He gets

10:04

a splash from Jacob Fatu and

10:06

then he gets power bombed into

10:09

the commentary table. A

10:12

lot to go with here, but Matt how

10:14

did you feel about this? Paul

10:17

Heyman getting the biggest pop of

10:19

his career because that's what that was. Paul Heyman's

10:21

a heel. Paul Heyman's his life is being a

10:23

heel and playing that role and never wanting to

10:26

play for a pop unless there's

10:28

a reason for it. And

10:30

the way he said that and

10:32

the crowd exploded right

10:35

place, right time, I think, right? It's MSG. I

10:37

don't know if that works somewhere else as well.

10:39

You know, in Philadelphia that would have worked and

10:41

a bigger market it would have worked to who

10:43

knew who Heyman was and those kinds of fans.

10:46

It worked perfectly. They were in and

10:48

everybody wanted Roman. And I think in

10:51

that moment right there, there was

10:54

a belief that Roman might walk

10:56

out right now. And I was kind of thinking, I go, if

10:59

he doesn't come out, are they going

11:01

to, are they going to crap on this? Are they

11:03

going to think this like, are they going to be

11:05

let down that Roman didn't come out? And

11:08

when Paul said that and they exploded, I

11:11

think they still thought Roman was coming out and then they beat

11:13

up Paul and I'm going, all right, let's see, are they going

11:15

to do this? Are they going to do nope? And

11:18

when they went out to the table, I went, Oh no, Paul's

11:20

already taken his first bump. He's going

11:22

to take another one. You would have saved him before

11:25

the cause Paul doesn't take bumps. It doesn't, it's

11:28

a good thing that he runs his

11:30

mouth and has everybody to back them up once

11:32

in a while, you know, Brock

11:35

F fives them. That happened. I think that's

11:37

the last bump he took heading into like

11:39

a summer slam in Nashville a couple of

11:41

years ago. Paul got taken out around that

11:43

time, but that's it. He doesn't get beat

11:46

up. So it was such a bigger deal

11:48

to do that. And they shield power by

11:50

them on the outside on top of all

11:52

that. And you know, Courtney's telling Wade, get

11:54

the hell out of the way. Like there

11:57

was concern for Paul Heyman. Nobody ever cares

11:59

about Paul Heyman. And in the span of

12:02

obviously what's gone on with Paul in this group

12:04

but in the span of really from last week

12:06

to this week, they made Paul Heyman a Sympathetic

12:10

character and they

12:12

did it perfectly and I think

12:15

you you noticed Denise how Paul looked right?

12:18

Oh, yes. Are you kidding me? I put I

12:20

put his picture side by side with Justin Timberlake's

12:22

mug shot Wait

12:25

Paul Heyman looked worse. How is this

12:27

possible? If

12:31

you've gone back and watched if you remember when Paul

12:34

got like kicked out of the bloodline ended up with

12:36

Brock for a couple weeks a few years ago and

12:39

then ended up It was a big ruse to to

12:41

get you know Brock and Roman, you know back

12:43

in the room Whatever it was and Paul did

12:46

that and he had this the you know The

12:48

stubble on his face and he didn't dye his

12:50

hair and you saw the gray and it was

12:52

just he was unkempt He does

12:54

that he knows exactly what he's doing with those things and

12:56

he came out that way You've seen it the last couple

12:58

weeks, but he came out that way last night. He

13:01

he looks like he hasn't slept in

13:03

weeks He's nervous he and that's that

13:05

is that is the genius of Paul

13:08

Heyman That's a little thing and

13:10

he'll come out, you know, but the next time

13:12

usually when he does that He

13:15

looks good. He's back together. He'll show hey look I

13:17

looked like crap and now I feel better I I

13:20

don't know. There's no reason to put Paul Heyman on

13:22

TV now again to me until

13:24

Romans coming back There's no

13:30

He's not an active person he doesn't

13:32

look like he's active You know It

13:35

looks big when you put a guy like him

13:37

through a table and you hit him with two

13:39

big moves So you did that

13:41

and now Paul just should go away But

13:44

Denise when does Paul come

13:47

back? Is it before Roman? Is it

13:49

to hint to Roman or

13:51

is it alongside? Roman because to

13:53

me Paul Heyman

13:55

turned babyface and is staying that

13:57

way until further notice I

14:00

think he should come back alongside Roman

14:02

Reigns. Because not only are

14:05

you going to get the pop for

14:07

Roman, but you're going to get the

14:09

pop for Paul, since he's been gone

14:11

for X amount of time. And you're

14:13

going to get the pop for they're

14:15

reunited again, because we already know he's

14:17

not against Roman Reigns. He has stated

14:19

this is his tribal chief, and he's

14:21

only going to acknowledge him. He's loyal

14:23

to him. So I feel him coming

14:25

alongside him whenever Roman Reigns does come

14:27

back. That's how you go

14:29

about it. But to go back to your

14:31

point that you were making about Paul Heyman's

14:34

look, I was just, I

14:37

loved that. I loved because

14:40

it made it easier for me

14:42

to truly believe that this man

14:44

has been in such stress over

14:46

the last couple weeks, months, however

14:48

long since WrestleMania, since we saw

14:50

Solo Sakoa took over and it

14:52

was this progression, right? Because we've

14:54

talked about how stressed out Paul

14:56

Heyman has looked in recent months.

14:58

But then all of a sudden

15:00

yesterday, he has this very, very

15:02

pale skin. And he's

15:04

got these bloodshot red eyes. You mentioned

15:07

the beard. You mentioned all of that,

15:09

the gray hair and the selling.

15:12

I want to take a second and

15:14

put over the selling here, because when

15:16

he first got splashed, I was dying.

15:18

I was dying because his reaction, he

15:20

literally looked like he was just in

15:22

so much pain and he had such

15:24

a great emphasis on his face and

15:26

he grabs his stomach and then he

15:28

just falls to the mat. And then

15:30

there was one little thing, one

15:33

little thing that they did that I

15:35

thought, you know what, that is just

15:37

messed up. That is wrong. Was when

15:39

they started to drag his body. They

15:41

didn't even have the decency of

15:43

picking him up and throwing him

15:45

out. No, they dragged his body.

15:47

And there's something about seeing Paul

15:49

Heyman get dragged that

15:52

nearly killed me. And so

15:54

the lead up into the power bomb and

15:56

I'm thinking and I was kind of nervous

15:58

too, because at first. I kind of

16:01

noticed that they struggled a little bit to pick up

16:03

Paul Heyman and I'm like, oh my god and keep

16:05

in mind so, uh Jacob fought who's

16:07

a very strong guy But it kind of

16:09

took them all a little bit of effort

16:11

together as a team to get Paul Heyman

16:13

up for the power bomb And I'm thinking

16:15

oh my god like that kind of made

16:18

it a little bit better in a way

16:20

because you were kind of nervous and So

16:23

when you finally got power bombed

16:26

it was the bump was great

16:28

Not only did it look really

16:30

really like it hurt like hell But

16:32

on top of it the impact of

16:35

it You just see him slide down

16:37

that commentary table and kind of like

16:39

fall over on his head and stay that way

16:41

You didn't see he was just done and out

16:43

and listen Paul's

16:46

kind of compact in the way he's built so

16:48

that like was tougher and I always

16:50

think that's kind of part of Paul's thing Is

16:52

his look he's not a he's not a

16:55

pretty man or anything like that. That's why he's with

16:57

these These these gods of some

16:59

these Samoan gods all the time and he's the

17:02

guy that runs his mouth and gets to be

17:04

with Him and he he's nothing like them and

17:06

he's not attractive like them And that's always the

17:08

thing with you want to hate him But I

17:10

like this how does this guy end up with

17:12

these people? Well, cuz he can do this he

17:15

can talk and he's got a brain that's better

17:17

than anybody else's But Denise to

17:19

your point to the selling When

17:21

he gets splashed It looked like he had

17:23

no chance of getting any air in his

17:25

body because it had all been pushed out

17:27

of him by Jacob fat too and then

17:29

to be taken out the way he did

17:31

and you see him go up for that

17:33

power Well, I don't think there needed to

17:35

be a lot of selling there Paul doesn't

17:37

take bumps Especially at this point in his

17:39

career and to go up there knowing he's

17:41

gonna get triple power bomb through a table

17:43

It ain't gonna feel good. I know the

17:45

table breaks like it still stinks when you

17:47

don't do that He doesn't have the muscle

17:49

memory He doesn't have the calluses

17:52

on his body of hitting the ropes or taking

17:54

those bumps that hurts a hell of

17:56

a lot more He I'm sure he's feeding off that

17:58

crowd. Believe me. I'm sure he's feeding off

18:00

of that adrenaline, which does go a long way,

18:03

but to go down the way he did, I know

18:05

did not feel good, and to not see his face,

18:07

I thought was even better, because a lot of times

18:09

you want to see the face, you want to see

18:11

the facial. I was waiting for it, I wanted to

18:13

see the shot of his face. He was just a

18:16

crumpled mess, because he was down and out. I mean, he

18:18

was knocked out. Whatever you want to say, he

18:20

looked like he was in terrible shape.

18:23

Then I saw people after he got stretchered out, which

18:25

they knew would get captured anyway, you're not going to

18:27

help him up. He

18:29

had to stretch a job out. We don't see

18:32

Paul for a very long time. There is no

18:34

reason to see Paul, and then they stood over,

18:37

because I know they clearly camera blocked that shot.

18:39

You could see them kind of get into position.

18:41

It was a little too, a touch too staged

18:43

for me, like, all right, and Tomitanga

18:45

is going to stand here, and okay, we're in our spots

18:47

and put that, but that's what it had

18:50

to be. And you look at

18:52

the face of Corey behind him, like laying on

18:54

the ground, because they're getting out of the way,

18:56

and Wade back there, they've seen some stuff. Think

18:59

of that look from Wade Barrett, right? That

19:02

look of Wade Barrett, of shock and

19:06

being terrified of these guys. Wade

19:08

Barrett's debut on Raw is one of

19:10

the most notable moments in WWE history,

19:13

wrecking shop on Straight

19:15

Edge Society and John Cena and Justin

19:18

Roberts, and the entire, like, and

19:21

so Wade having that reaction,

19:24

knowing what he's done in his career, that's

19:26

a little thing, but it means that

19:29

much more of selling how dangerous these

19:31

guys are all of a sudden. Now

19:33

they've wanted to be this dangerous, but they

19:35

took it to another level, and not only

19:37

with Jacob Fatouba taking out one of who

19:39

we thought was their own. If you're not

19:42

with us, not

19:44

only are we against you, we are

19:46

going to run through you. That's what they

19:48

did last night, and they

19:50

made this version of the bloodline stand

19:52

out in a completely different way than

19:55

the previous version with all different members

19:57

of the outside of the solo circle.

20:00

This was the first time that I felt

20:03

like the bloodline, this new version of it,

20:05

was what they had been saying that they

20:07

were the last couple of weeks. And also

20:10

I just thought about something. How guilty do

20:12

you think CM Punk feels? Because

20:15

remember Paul Heyman asked him, take me with you.

20:17

I mean, CM Punk's dealing with his own stuff.

20:19

He ended up getting attacked and whatnot. But think

20:21

about it. I, that's gotta, you

20:23

know, I hope that the circle back CM

20:25

Punk into this bloodline storyline at some point.

20:28

Far along maybe after the whole day's death. Paul was taking care

20:30

of himself though, right? Paul's taking care of himself

20:33

in that moment and Paul's still with Roman

20:35

at the end. But Paul will be manipulative

20:37

to cover his own butt. I mean, that's

20:39

clearly what he was doing last week and

20:42

Punk's smart enough to the point of right, you

20:44

don't treat babyfaces like they're dopes. Punk

20:47

knows to keep Paul at an arm's distance. That's,

20:49

that's fun. And he got out of it, right?

20:51

He, well, if I do this one favor for

20:53

you, no, he, he's

20:56

not gonna trust him. It might, if Punk at

20:58

the moment was like, this'll help me. Sure.

21:00

I'll dance with the devil here for

21:02

a second. But there is there. Yeah,

21:05

I get that. But I think back

21:07

to the point though, since last week, this

21:11

bloodline is where it needs to be. This

21:14

bloodline is believable

21:16

as a main event top tier threat. I

21:18

think they've tried to portray that. And

21:21

I don't think it has worked. And you could say

21:23

they were trying to maybe

21:26

not be great. Maybe they were intentionally weren't

21:28

booked that way. I don't believe that because

21:30

I think you want them to be a

21:33

credible threat as soon as you can, because

21:35

it's also a reason that people tune into

21:37

the show. If I see them

21:39

middling, I see them stuck in

21:41

the mid card. I don't look at

21:43

them the same way because as I've been saying,

21:46

this is a new group. These are new

21:48

guys, other than solo, you know, not

21:51

a lot of people know about grills of destiny and things

21:53

like that. And why are they so dangerous? And why

21:55

are they going 50 50 with the

21:57

street profits? Now. They

22:00

needed the rub Denise, I guess that's the best

22:02

way I would say it. They needed to be

22:04

around Cody. And obviously they've

22:07

been around Randy and they've been

22:09

around KO but they needed to

22:11

be back around Cody and those

22:13

three coming together, realizing the threat

22:15

that the bloodline is, I think was

22:17

the first step in making this version

22:20

of the bloodline the dangerous credible threat

22:22

we've seen last Friday and last night

22:24

on SmackDown. Yeah, I feel

22:26

like so much has to do. You

22:28

mentioned that rub with getting to be

22:30

in this program with Cody and KO

22:32

and Randy, but on top of that,

22:34

you also had the, it's Jacob Fatu.

22:36

Jacob Fatu has made the biggest difference

22:38

in the group because now one of

22:40

the most important pieces of what was

22:42

even, a lot

22:45

of people were talking about how the

22:47

bloodline was not working, right? The only

22:49

thing, in my opinion, that was working

22:51

was the way that Paul Heyman was

22:53

putting them over. He was doing a

22:55

better job of making people fear the

22:57

group than the group was itself. And

22:59

now, as we all know, we're not

23:02

gonna be seeing Paul Heyman for a

23:04

while. So that big puzzle piece is

23:06

out of this picture now. So

23:09

what is that going to look like

23:12

without Paul Heyman? Thankfully we have Jacob

23:14

Fatu there, but the mouthpiece, the person

23:16

speaking is gonna be the guy that

23:19

didn't speak for like a whole year

23:21

in solo sequoia. So do

23:24

you think those dynamic, like how are they

23:26

going to work within those dynamics? I

23:29

saw a tweet from

23:31

Armando Alejandro Estrada, who used to manage

23:33

Umaga back in the day, well obviously

23:35

in the bloodline and in a bigger

23:37

way. Someone mentioned,

23:40

you should go manage them and he's like, be careful what

23:43

you wish for. Now he's probably just keeping his name in

23:45

the news and that's what wrestlers do and I get that. But

23:49

that is something we've both talked about. Solo didn't talk

23:51

for all of a sudden, for the entire time he

23:53

was in the group, basically. He wasn't asked to cut

23:55

promos, a couple words here and there. And

23:57

that was by design. I will tell you specifically.

24:00

that he told me that that's

24:02

what Roman wanted it made sense and

24:04

then you asked him to talk more and

24:07

I had been saying while Heyman

24:09

is selling the as you point you know I

24:11

pointed out what this group is and

24:13

not being sure of it it

24:15

took away his ability to be

24:17

that bravado Paul Heyman and put

24:19

over the group and talk about

24:21

you know how great they are

24:23

he's he's kind of cowering

24:26

well now he's out and

24:29

yes they have Jacob fat too but do

24:32

they want to go forward with solo doing

24:35

all the talking that's

24:38

can they go forward I think that's the question I

24:40

would throw out to everybody listening today is is

24:43

the bloodline now good as is

24:46

or do they need a new mouthpiece and

24:48

I'm not sure the answer that I'd love to hear what

24:50

what the nation has to say is it

24:53

what it needs to be right now or

24:55

do they need that that mouthpiece that's front and

24:58

center that's not taking bumps that's not part of

25:00

the group in that way that is a mouthpiece

25:02

that is a manager that is a guy do

25:04

they need that in this version of the bloodline

27:28

need a mouthpiece for the bloodline,

27:30

right? I don't think it's the way, because

27:32

Paul's the wise man, right? That's always been Paul's thing. He's

27:35

the wise man. He's the

27:37

advocate. He doesn't like being

27:39

called the manager. Is

27:42

it an advisor role? Is it a trusted

27:44

advisor? They're all managers in

27:46

a way. We know what that role is. It's

27:48

a second term, in this case a fifth or

27:50

whatever, but it's not a wise man.

27:53

Is there someone that needs to be

27:55

a mouthpiece? I just say that because

27:58

Solo hasn't spoken that much. Paul

28:00

carried so much of that and

28:02

what he did, do

28:04

they need somebody else? Or

28:06

do their actions, do the

28:09

speaking enough for this version of the bloodline?

28:12

Right, because even with Sohla Sakoa doing

28:14

the talking, Matt, I don't feel like,

28:17

I mean, I don't wanna say like, oh,

28:19

he's not a good talker, but he's just

28:21

not compare, it's very hard to compare anybody

28:23

against Paul Heyman. Like you can't be, right,

28:25

there's levels, right? We know there's

28:28

levels to this, but if you're

28:30

sitting on a scale of one to

28:32

10, where would you rate Sohla

28:34

Sakoa in terms of his mic skills right now?

28:36

Cause I would put him like at a one,

28:38

a two. Oh, that low, okay. That's

28:41

pretty low because I'm sort of,

28:43

That's a bit low. There's so many great talkers. That's a

28:45

bit low. Find a three, up to him, Matt. I

28:47

go him in the fourth, you can get out there and

28:49

talk to the people, I'm not saying it's super,

28:52

he's like a four and a half, five,

28:54

but that's bare minimum, like he's

28:57

doing enough. If you're

28:59

below that, if you're below that, you shouldn't be on

29:01

TV talking. Like that's, you have to get to that

29:03

level, but he's not, you know what he's not though?

29:06

Nobody's Heyman, he's also not Roman.

29:09

Roman kept you in

29:11

the palm of his hand. Roman could

29:13

play off the crowd. Roman could take

29:16

the crowd on a ride. And I

29:18

don't think this is necessarily wrong. Everything

29:21

Sohla did, especially last night, it's just

29:24

Roman beat for beat. He's just saying

29:26

all the same stuff. Acknowledge

29:28

me and get, we've seen that

29:31

ceremony before. It,

29:34

by the way, anytime that gets promoted

29:37

and acknowledgments, anything that's not like

29:39

a wrestling match with bloodline, what

29:43

we saw last night, something big

29:45

tends to come out of it. This the

29:47

trial of Sami Zayn or, you know, stuff

29:49

with with Jay and anytime

29:51

there's a ceremony or whatever that

29:55

there's probably a big thing planned. And

29:57

there was again, when I saw it, I went. and

30:00

MSG, okay, we're

30:02

probably gonna get something big, not where I

30:04

thought they were going. They

30:06

got Randy and Cody and KO out of the way

30:08

at the beginning of the show. They got their stuff

30:10

in. That pushes

30:12

the match for next weekend. But

30:15

this was a, this

30:17

what happened last night, Denise, was not about

30:19

Money in the Bank. This

30:22

is about way more than Money in

30:24

the Bank. This puts

30:26

the clock now on Roman Reigns.

30:29

Because it, I don't know when, but

30:33

it's short attention span theater in the world

30:35

of professional wrestling. Everybody knows that. You could

30:37

tell long stories, but

30:39

I don't think it's three months down the road. It's

30:42

probably one and a half. We're looking at

30:44

SummerSlam right now. And

30:48

WWE is well aware of

30:50

the impact that they can make at

30:52

these big shows. I have to say

30:54

that in the TKO era and the

30:56

Triple H era, whatever the hell you

30:58

wanna call it, whatever fancy branding

31:01

they wanna give it, they

31:03

tend to know that

31:05

at the big shows, they

31:09

need to deliver big. And they have been doing

31:11

that. And whether it be bringing

31:13

Brock back or Cena back or whatever, they

31:16

hit the big, they hit the big shows in a

31:19

big way. And with

31:21

SummerSlam coming up, I

31:23

think we'll get into this conversation a little bit as well.

31:26

Are we going Cody Solo? Or

31:30

does Cody and company break off from

31:32

this bloodline thing and we go Cody

31:35

Randy? Because they got options. I

31:38

have been completely on board with Cody

31:41

Randy, has to happen. I

31:44

want to heal Randy. I

31:46

need to heal Randy against babyface Cody. I

31:48

want to heal Randy to beat Cody. Let's

31:50

give Cody some real adversity because I don't

31:53

think he's had strong challengers in the first

31:55

few months of his reign. He's

31:57

had good matches. but

32:00

not believable challengers. Aheel Randi would

32:02

do that. Is

32:04

this story that was told last night

32:06

better off being its own thing? That's

32:10

also a question that's part of this whole thing as

32:12

well. Do you get

32:14

back to Cody and Bloodline

32:16

down the road somewhere else?

32:18

Cody Rock, Babyface Roman, Cody

32:21

Solo, it's, I don't know. Is

32:24

this a Bloodline civil war at War

32:26

Games in November? Are we

32:28

going there with, and you know

32:30

what's nice? We don't know. It

32:32

can go a lot of different ways. The

32:34

Randi Orton looks at the title, teases have

32:36

been there. He's on the same side

32:38

as Cody. Now the Bloodline, way

32:42

more formidable in the last couple of weeks than

32:44

they ever have been. I'm not

32:46

sold on a Cody Solo match as

32:48

Solo being a credible main

32:51

eventer for Cody, but

32:53

I think the allure of that match is

32:55

who could show up if Solo's in the main event

32:58

of SummerSlam. Oh

33:00

Lord, yeah, because we're seeing Cody versus Solo,

33:02

Sequoah, let me tell you, I don't wanna

33:04

see Solo, Sequoah defeat Cody Rhodes. I'm not

33:06

there yet. I'm not there at all, and

33:08

I'm pretty sure that's something that people are

33:11

wondering may or may not happen. There's

33:13

so much to get into. BTW,

33:15

our poll is officially up. We

33:18

have posed the question as to whether or not the

33:21

Bloodline needs a new mouthpiece. I voted on

33:23

this. Can I say it? So

33:25

the two options are yes, new mouthpiece, please.

33:27

And the other one is no, Solo is

33:29

running house. I decided to

33:31

vote no because I'm with

33:34

you in the sense that I want to see, or

33:36

like you mentioned, I wanna see the actions

33:38

speak for themselves. We've had, I just don't

33:40

feel like you can bring someone in that's

33:43

not as good as Paul Heyman. And

33:46

so it would be kinda weird if it

33:48

wasn't anybody that was as good or nearly

33:50

as good as Paul Heyman. So

33:53

that's why I voted no, but let me

33:55

tell you, they're kind of neck and neck

33:57

right now. So we'll give you some time and we'll

33:59

let people vote. It's gotta be the right

34:01

person, I'll tell you that. They can't get that wrong if they're

34:03

gonna do it. You can't

34:05

have a Heyman replica. I

34:07

think it's

34:10

also someone who you

34:13

would have to think, Denise, if this group

34:15

is bringing them in, there's trust. They're not

34:17

playing the cowering role. They have the respect.

34:20

The person they bring in would have respect for them

34:23

and vice versa. The

34:25

person who they would bring in knows

34:27

what they're capable of, endorses what

34:29

they're capable of, is happy to

34:31

be with them in that role,

34:33

says, yes, we will

34:36

destroy anything that's in our

34:38

path. This bloodline is nothing

34:40

like what it used to be. It's better.

34:42

It's dangerous. It's violent. And good luck

34:44

to anyone who stands in our way.

34:46

Not the Paul Heyman bravado of it.

34:49

It's gotta be very straightforward. It's gotta

34:51

be more militant in that way. It's

34:54

gotta be more diabolical and

34:56

scary. Paul and Roman

34:59

always had a plan. I

35:01

don't know if you want to

35:03

say this bloodline has a plan.

35:05

They don't need one. Chaos is

35:07

their plan. Busted Open is part
