Rebecca is the founder of Stable Moments, a mentorship program curriculum utilizing equine assisted learning (yes, horses) and community mentors to achieve life skills for children impacted by early developmental trauma or neglect. She talks with Matt about her own childhood trauma, having been the victim of sexual abuse, as well as her teenage struggles with drugs and alcohol. But learning natural horsemanship was, she says, the only reason she made it though her teens. Rebecca eventually became a social worker to help unseen, hurting people like herself. "I couldn't believe the correlations between the principles in natural horsemanship and how to therapeutically intervene with these kids," she says. "This lead me to start Stable Moments."
