Well, it’s FINALLY time for the MCU to come back! WandaVision is premiering soon and that will be the starter course to a never-ending Marvel feast of Disney+ television shows like Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Loki, and What If? Then there will be a second course of movies like Black Widow, Shang-Chi & The Legends of the Ten Rings, and The Eternals. Once all of that MCU goodness has been taken in, that means the road might be clear for plenty more in the future. That means we could get into some of the weirder corners of the Marvel comics universe. Weirder corners like The Ancient Avengers.

If you’re not a comic book reader who is intimately familiar with the works of Jason Aaron, you might be thinking, “Ancient Avengers? What is that like the same superhero team but the way in the past?” Well, if that’s what you’re thinking, you’re pretty much right on the money!

The Ancient Avengers or Avengers 1,000,000 B.C. are heroes from Earth’s ancient past who defended the planet before history was even around to record it. They included a few familiar faces like the original Black Panther, Iron Fist, and Sorcerer Supreme. Then there was the old king of Asgard Odin himself!

We’ll discuss the origins of all these heroes, how they could be introduced into the MCU Phase 4 and what an Ancient Avengers movie could look like. So let’s jump into the past together as we prove why the MCU needs to introduce the Ancient Avengers!
