The 80's was the decade of horror from slashers, to werewolves and zombies. Michael Myers, Freddy and Jason ruled the big screens. That didn't stop cult filmmaker William Lustig, who shocked audience's with 1980's Maniac to team up with Larry Cohen for 1988's Maniac Cop!

When a silent killer in blue targets the innocent of NYC, fear grips hold as police try to apprehend this "Maniac Cop" Investigating is Det. McCrae (Tom Atkins) who believes accused cop Jack Forrest (Bruce Campbell) is being set up. Together with Officer Mallory (Laurene Landon), they set out to stop a killer hellbent on revenge with a tragic connection of corruption and betrayal.
