After the disappointing reception of Part 5, Paramount brought Jason back in Jason Lives which underperformed at the box office in 1986. However Jason still had some life left in him the following year in today's review of 1987's The New Blood!

Tina Shepherd (Lar Park Lincoln) is special. She can harness the power of telekinesis. She's got two downsides: one is her sleezy doctor, Dr. Crews, trying to keep her emotionally unstable and the fact that these powers only work outside her control when she's upset. So when a trip to Camp Crystal Lake results in her awakening Jason Voorhees, it's "Carrie vs Jason" as Tina and her new beau Nick must stop the infamous killer's bloody carnage.
