Hey guys, Conan here to tell

0:02

you about a brand new Team

0:04

Coco podcast. It's called Where Everybody

0:06

Knows Your Name with Ted Danson

0:09

and Woody Harrelson sometimes. Woody's

0:11

not always there, but he's there a lot.

0:13

It's a really fun time where Ted and

0:15

Woody are reunited more than 30 years after

0:17

their first time together on Cheers. You'll

0:20

hear some great guests on the show like

0:22

Will Arnett, Jane Fonda, Chef

0:24

Jose Andres, Kristen

0:26

Bell, even me. Yes,

0:28

that's right. I got to join the

0:31

guys for an episode, which we recorded

0:33

on the rooftop of the Team Coco

0:35

office. The full episode is out now.

0:38

Here's a short clip. Let me

0:40

pick your brain about podcasts. Woody

0:43

and I being new at this. Do

0:45

you sit there and think, wait, Mike, I

0:47

don't want my kids to hear me be

0:50

this way tell this story. Do you or

0:52

my mom and my dad, do you censor

0:54

yourself? Not really. I don't, and

0:57

I'll tell you, and this is going to sound like a joke, but

0:59

it's not. My children have no interest

1:03

in listening to my podcast and I

1:05

take that as a healthy sign. So

1:07

they will never hear this because

1:09

they care about themselves and their

1:12

lives. And I am a

1:14

figure, you know, like a sitcom dad is

1:16

always a figure of ridicule. I am

1:18

a sitcom dad. When I go home, they're

1:21

not interested. I'll say something

1:23

and there's a lot of eye rolling in.

1:25

Yeah, dad, that's what it's called a gif.

1:27

No, it's gif, you know, whatever. I'm

1:30

the idiot. There's a laugh track. And

1:34

my parents they

1:37

don't consume podcasts at their age. And

1:41

so, so you can say what

1:43

you want. Yeah. I mean, it's

1:46

about spelling, but no, I feel

1:48

badly about that. He made some

1:50

good shows and

1:56

then some other shows, you know, but whatever you just a

1:58

good man. And what am I to say things? What do

2:00

you do when you have a guest that's

2:03

like pulling teeth? Because this has

2:05

been a real challenge today for me and William,

2:07

to be honest. I know. This

2:09

is the most taxing challenge I am

2:11

withholding. Oh, my God. What

2:13

do you do with people, though? Seriously?

2:17

I just start... It's so funny because we would...

2:20

I learned this from years and years of doing the late night show.

2:23

It hasn't really happened on the podcast because on

2:25

the podcast, you don't make as many. The

2:28

real challenge was to do a late night show and

2:30

I did end up doing whatever it is, 4,000

2:33

hours of broadcasting, three guests a

2:35

night. Sometimes

2:38

not even music, sometimes three talk guests a night. You

2:40

do the math and you realize there were so many

2:42

times I was out there with the

2:45

seventh lead on a

2:47

WB show that you've never heard of that

2:50

lasted three months named

2:52

Saz Bichler. And I'm like,

2:54

here he is. And he's 19. He's had

2:56

no life experience. And he plays Chiz.

2:59

So here, he all knows

3:02

he's Chiz on You

3:04

Better Not, Saz

3:07

Bichler. And he would come out and he's just,

3:09

you know, six weeks ago was working at whatever

3:12

polishing trays at Chipotle and now he's

3:14

sitting there. And yeah, sometimes

3:16

lightning strikes and this kid

3:18

has an amazing things to say, but there's a lot

3:20

of times where they've got absolutely nothing

3:22

to say. And so I would just start

3:25

talking and fortunately he has sidekick

3:27

Andy Rector is really funny. And Andy would be sitting on

3:29

the other side and I'd be like, you know, Saz, it's

3:31

funny because it says you worked at Chipotle. I was at

3:33

Chipotle once and I have to say, and then Andy would

3:35

go like, oh, you got, don't get me started on Chipotle.

3:38

And we would go and Saz would be laughing

3:41

and then the whole thing would be over and I'd say, Saz,

3:44

fantastic. You know, oh

3:46

no, you better not check it out on

3:48

the WB and everyone would applaud. And

3:51

then my producer

3:53

afterwards would say, you know, you

3:55

were worried about him. I thought Saz did pretty

3:57

well. And I'd say, Saz didn't say a

3:59

thing. It's a fucking thing. He

4:02

didn't say a fucking thing. Look at

4:04

the fucking tape. It's

4:07

me and Andy talking about Chipotle. Hey, if

4:09

you like that, head over to where everybody

4:11

knows your name to listen to the rest

4:14

of my conversation with Ted and Woody now.

4:16

And be sure to subscribe and follow wherever

4:18

you get your podcasts. These guys are really

4:20

fun. Check it out.
