Host Gemma Milne is joined by Mark Griswold, PhD, Director of MRI Research and Faculty Director of the Interactive Commons at Case Western Reserve University. They discuss how medical faculty at Case Western Reserve are using technology developed by Mark’s team to teach anatomy with HoloLens, how medical education has changed over the past year in response to COVID-19, and what the opportunities are in health care and beyond for mixed reality technologies.

 

About Mark Griswold, PhD

Mark Griswold is Professor of Radiology, Director of MRI Research, and Faculty Director of the Interactive Commons (IC) at Case Western Reserve University. Among his internationally known imaging discoveries, Dr. Griswold developed Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting (MRF), a highly quantitative and objective form of MRI. At the IC, Dr. Griswold connects individuals in unconventional, multidisciplinary networks and applies visualization technologies, such as Microsoft HoloLens, to advance learning and solve society’s most pressing challenges.
