 UP govt plans to inaugurate 34 development projects worth Rs 9,691

crore

The state government has planned to inaugurate around 76 development projects costing

over Rs 57,800 crore, and it has identified almost 34 projects costing over Rs 9,691 crore in

Uttar Pradesh. The foundation stone of these 34 projects could be laid in the following 100

days.

 Tata Steel Kalinganagar launches robotic system for Wagon Tippler.

Tata Steel Kalinganagar, a steel factory in Jajpur, Odisha, has upgraded its Wagon Tippler

operation with a new robotic system. A novel robotics operating system for Wagon Tippler

has been introduced to eliminate the man-machine contact while handling Railway waggons

following a tippling operation during each cycle.

 Adani to take over Thiruvananthapuram airport ops by October 14.

Adani Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd may take control of the airport by

October 14. It won the bid for running the airport for 50 years, and has reported seeking an

extension of three months to take over after signing the agreement with the Airport

Authority of India (AAI), which expire on October 18.

 GMLR flyover in Mumbai opens after delay of three years.

The 2.9 km long flyover, will be vital for motorists as it will decrease the travel time by 25

minutes on the congested Ghatkoper-Mankhurd Link Road by connecting it to the road

leading towards Vashi, especially on Baiganwadi Junction at Shivaji Nagar.

 Vedanta Aluminium is now the largest buyer of green energy in India.

Aluminium manufacturing major, Vedanta Aluminium becomes the largest green power

purchaser on the Green Term-Ahead Market (GTAM) platform at the Indian Energy Exchange

(IEX) in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2021-22. The acquisition of green power units by

the company accounts for more than 35% of the green power traded on the IEX in Q1 FY22,

according to the statement released by Vedanta.
