Julian is a multilingual Bulgarian-American actor and producer who will soon appear in the new Netflix fantasy series "Shadow and Bone," adapted by Oscar nominee Eric Heisserer and produced by 21 Laps Entertainment. He was born in Varna, Bulgaria and graduated from a Spanish and English-speaking high school. During that time he was a 10-times swimming champion of Bulgaria for all ages, and part of the national team, winning a bronze medal from the Balkan Games in 2007. Julian received a 'Business Management' BA degree from Cardiff University but soon after he was accepted into the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and began his acting career. He's currently filming as Italian Luca in Channel 4 comedy series "Back," opposite David Mitchell and Robert Webb, and can recently be seen in the recurring role of Yuri in "Treadstone" on Amazon. Prior to that, he appeared as series regular, Sergei, in the latest season of "Berlin Station" (Epix/Channel 4). He previously appeared as the lead in the feature film "Another Mother's Son" for which he was long-listed for a BAFTA. In addition to other awards, he was nominated for Action Performer of the Year by Action on Film International Film Festival, Vegas for playing Sam Quentin in the award-winning film "The Conversation." Julian's producing career quickly evolved from short films to the horror feature "The Dare" (2020) which won the Audience Award at Popcorn Frightfest, Miami and is being sold worldwide by Millennium Media. Other acting credits include "A Discovery of Witches" (Sky One) and a guest lead opposite Rob Lowe in "Wild Bill." He can also be seen in as Juan in the comedy TV-series "Flack" alongside Anna Paquin. Julian also has an extensive voice-over body of work ranging from commercials to animation and video games, including a leading MOCAP role for "CrossFire 2," the all-time most popular game in Asia and ergo the world.
