Jay's Lee Smith mystery novels feature a female amateur sleuth and travel writer who had the misfortune to be born the daughter of a convicted serial killer. In the first book in the series, Lee returns home to a text from her childhood friend, billionaire and diamond magnate Jack Hughes stating someone has tried to kill him. Lee quickly finds herself embroiled in a murder mystery at the prestigious boarding school she and Jack attended. Titles in the series include One Way Ticket, No Return, and Excess Baggage.
