Hi everyone, Larissa Russell of
0:11
CreativeU Healing and today I
0:20
have with me Naranjan Nota.
0:20
Naranjan is a spiritual,
0:24
intuitive, and relationship
0:24
coach, she helps you identify
0:27
how others opinions and judgment
0:27
may deter you from meeting your
0:31
goals. both personally and
0:31
professionally. She dives deep
0:34
into the core karmic issues that
0:34
manifest is anxiety, depression,
0:37
lack of self esteem, self worth,
0:37
and a fear of being visible, and
0:41
transforms them into
0:41
understanding knowledge and
0:43
wisdom resulting in joy, peace,
0:43
and an enhanced feeling of
0:47
compassion towards oneself and
0:47
others, which is a wonderful
0:51
idea being compassionate to
0:51
self. So welcome, Naranjan.
0:57
Thank you, Larissa. Thank you
0:57
for having me on the show.
1:00
Well, I'm very excited. I you
1:00
know, I was checking out your
1:02
site and the amazing things you
1:02
do, and I love it. I absolutely
1:06
love it. So can you tell us a
1:06
little bit about yourself and
1:10
sort of how you ended up where
1:10
you are today?
1:13
Absolutely, I'd be honored to
1:13
share the journey is really a
1:21
long journey. Because I'm a firm
1:21
believer that we can go through
1:26
decades and many experiences and
1:26
recognize, Oh, that felt good.
1:32
That felt right, that felt in
1:32
alignment to who I am and what
1:36
I'm here to do, and recognize
1:36
all those times in the past
1:41
where they had showed up. So I
1:41
began to see a pattern, I began
1:46
to see what feels comfortable,
1:46
what feels right for me, and
1:52
what feels natural to me. And I
1:52
leaned into those further and
1:57
further, I went into the realm
1:57
of spirituality and being
2:00
curious about astrology, the
2:00
esoteric, and all the unseen
2:05
world. And that took me on a big
2:05
path that I'm honored. And I'm
2:10
blessed to be doing today. Just looking at some of the
2:15
offerings that you have, it
2:18
seems like energy is your focus,
2:18
if you will. And and a lot of
2:23
people don't understand the
2:23
energy of us as a collective us.
2:28
Do you have any insight into that? Well, everything is energy. But
2:31
we're not taught that from the
2:34
beginning. When we get into the
2:34
world of a system, the school or
2:39
college community and society,
2:39
we're not taught that everything
2:43
is energy, we're taught to
2:43
minimize the opportunities a bit
2:47
and put it in a box and give it
2:47
a label. And that's all it can
2:51
do. Whereas as we get older, we
2:51
feel see sense and hear things,
2:57
which are all vibrational
2:57
frequencies, which is all
3:00
energy. That's what we're made
3:00
of this planet, this space
3:03
between you and I, is a huge
3:03
component of energy. But those
3:09
are not topics that we're taught
3:09
typically in school, and
3:13
especially in how to navigate
3:13
life. So I equate it to
3:18
everything is energy. And once
3:18
we learn how to navigate and
3:21
transform it, because we can
3:21
kill it, we just transform it.
3:26
And we can we can move through
3:26
life with with ease and will be
3:30
in flow. I think that's a big component
3:33
that's missing in a lot of
3:37
people's lives is that flow and
3:37
that ease because it's always
3:42
like, sort of bashing up against
3:42
somebody else's energy, right?
3:47
And not knowing how your own
3:47
moves. So trying to manipulate
3:51
or make yourself fit into
3:51
somebody else's flow, instead of
3:56
finding your own flow? How do
3:56
you help people then find their
4:00
own flow, and support them with looking at
4:02
what are some of the heavy
4:06
burdens and challenges that are
4:06
perhaps at the forefront of
4:10
their life. So exhaustion,
4:10
overwhelm with all of life's
4:14
responsibilities. So I support
4:14
them in releasing and letting go
4:19
of those and transforming the
4:19
energy in relationship to them.
4:24
And then once we do that, then
4:24
we create more space, and when
4:27
we create space are the magic
4:27
and bolts, but we have to create
4:31
the space. And in our busy gogogo world, we
4:34
often don't know how to create
4:38
space, right? Because it's like
4:38
we have to jam pack as much as
4:42
possible to get it all done, and
4:42
get it done. Right. And so
4:48
opening up those spaces can be
4:48
really challenging to to people
4:53
to learn how to do that. And so,
4:53
just thinking about you know,
4:59
the Energy and space and always
4:59
trying to fit into somebody
5:03
else's. And to separate yourself
5:03
yourself from someone else's
5:07
energy or the flow of energy
5:07
you've been caught in can be
5:12
really difficult. Do you have
5:12
any tips for helping people sort
5:15
of step into their own flow, go into a place of
5:17
stillness, go into some quiet
5:24
space, go out for a walk in
5:24
nature, which nature has her own
5:28
benefits that we can lean into,
5:28
and really leverage. But even if
5:32
you can't get outside, turn off
5:32
the music, turn off the
5:35
distractions that we have,
5:35
because there's a gazillion of
5:39
them. So remove yourself from
5:39
those, get a glass of water,
5:44
have a cup of tea, sit back and
5:44
just sit in your own energy
5:48
field and space, sit with your
5:48
own thoughts, sit with your own
5:51
breath. And allow that to
5:51
permeate to what is it, you are
5:58
feeling. That, to me is an
5:58
invitation to unfold that what
6:06
is looking to be revealed. Yeah,
6:10
and you know, just talking about
6:10
breath, we often forget, because
6:15
breath is considered natural.
6:15
But we don't realize when we're
6:20
holding our breath, or when
6:20
we're not breathing easily, when
6:25
we just don't pay attention. And
6:25
when we can stop and pay
6:27
attention to our breath. It just
6:27
opens so much up, right and
6:31
allow us that space. You know,
6:31
with the breath, I think that's
6:34
really important. Yeah, one of
6:34
the questions I ask all my
6:39
guests, is, what does healing
6:39
with creativity mean to you?
6:44
Tapping into an energetic space,
6:44
beyond the thinking mind. Where
6:52
we live in a world where there
6:52
is so much focus on action and
6:58
being task driven, and why
6:58
that's important, it is
7:04
important to do. So stepping
7:04
away from that and allowing the
7:10
flow without judgment without
7:10
expectation without anything
7:15
hindering the outcome of it, to
7:15
be in flow with that, and just
7:20
allow for whatever shows up to
7:20
show up. Whether it be cooking,
7:25
baking, gardening, drawing,
7:25
painting, whatever that creative
7:31
outlet looks like for you, even
7:31
if it's dancing. So be it,
7:35
there's less hinging on it in
7:35
terms of an expectation, a
7:40
deadline, a specific outcome.
7:40
And I think that's one of the
7:45
things we've often forgotten in our culture,
7:45
our society is that we feel that
7:51
creativity has to produce
7:51
something, right? It has value
7:54
of somebody else sees value in
7:54
it. And we really need to create
7:58
for our own well being in
7:58
whatever way that looks like for
8:02
us, but to have that, that space
8:02
for us to just create for the
8:06
sake of creation. Right? Absolutely. And that's
8:07
often typically done through
8:11
like art therapy, or even in a
8:11
community setting, because
8:15
that's part of the healing
8:15
process as well. When crochet
8:19
groups or reading groups or book
8:19
clubs come together, it's all
8:24
based on community, and that,
8:24
that has a bigger influence of
8:28
healing in community because
8:28
we're human beings and
8:32
communities. Well, I think this is
8:34
interesting what you said about community because that's
8:36
something we had lost, I feel
8:39
and surprisingly, the pandemic
8:39
has almost brought community
8:43
back with online connection.
8:43
Right? And we've had to slow
8:49
down and, and connect in a
8:49
different way. And maybe it's
8:53
not person to person, like in
8:53
person. But having these groups
8:58
of like minded individuals come
8:58
together, on zoom from around
9:02
the world has really brought a
9:02
new sense of community. Have you
9:06
noticed that as well? I have Yes, I have noticed that
9:08
opportunity of finding your
9:14
tribe, if you will, in different
9:14
parts of the world, and in those
9:20
different parts of the world,
9:20
lean into opportunities, of
9:24
connecting with different
9:24
people, because typically it
9:27
would be in your physical
9:27
geographical location. But the
9:33
richness that that offers for
9:33
other people, and for yourself,
9:40
I think can be displayed through
9:40
zoom or through technology.
9:49
Obviously, it doesn't give you
9:49
the full rich experience. If you
9:53
were sitting next to them in a
9:53
coffee shop or a restaurant.
9:55
One of the things that we're a
9:55
group that I was leading the
9:58
other day we were talking about
9:58
certain things history and how
10:02
people only had their immediate
10:02
community. And so when they were
10:06
depicting, it was like people
10:06
who look just like them, right
10:11
didn't have that understanding
10:11
of what other people around the
10:13
world look like. And so for us
10:13
here, North American, very white
10:19
man, culture, everything sort of
10:19
got this whitewash. And now
10:23
having zoom, or whatever
10:23
platform you're using, to talk
10:27
to people from around the world,
10:27
plus the internet, and you can
10:31
start to explore new cultures
10:31
and new understandings of
10:35
history has been really
10:35
interesting. And I think that's
10:38
also brought a different sense
10:38
of community together.
10:43
Absolutely. And while it is his
10:43
story, there's many individuals
10:49
or many communities who were
10:49
wanting to share her story.
10:54
Absolutely, absolutely. It's
10:54
such an important part, such an
10:57
important part. Well, I want to
10:57
thank you so much for being here
11:00
today. And is there any final
11:00
thoughts that you have that
11:04
you'd like to share before we go
11:04
today,
11:08
to allow time, allow space for a
11:08
doodle, if you will, to take
11:17
time away from the thinking
11:17
brain and allow that creative,
11:22
non judgmental space for
11:22
yourself, it will reward you in
11:27
many ways than you can possibly
11:27
do better. So give yourself the
11:32
opportunity and the gift. Oh, I love that. I love that.
11:33
And I do see that you have a
11:37
free gift, that daily gratitude
11:37
activity. I did see it on your
11:41
website. So we'll make sure that
11:41
we give the link to everyone for
11:45
that. And again, I just want to
11:45
thank you so much for being here
11:47
today. Welcome. Thank you for having me
11:48
on your show. Thank you.
11:52
And for our listeners we will
11:52
see you again next time and in
11:56
the meantime, I wish for you
11:56
amazingly creative days.
