We are now five years in the future, and everyone is back in Capeside for Gale's (Mary Margaret Humes) wedding and reconnecting with one another.

Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is burnt out working on his show within the show, "The Creek.

Pacey (Joshua Jackson) has reopened the Ice House and is still enjoying the company of older women.

Jack (Kerr Smith) is trying to navigate his relationship with Doug (Dylan Neal) who is still in the closet.

Joey (Katie Holmes) takes some time away from her current boyfriend Christopher (Jeremy Sisto) while trying to decide if she's still in love with Pacey and Dawson.

And Jen (Michelle Williams) now a mother to one year old Amy, suddenly becomes ill and is ultimately the catalyst for the series finale.
