It might heartless to write that True Crime is alluring and as a result, reports of true crimes especially unsolved ones generate speculation. Social media influencers have turned to various genres to create content including True Crime. However, there is a risk of framing innocent suspects, doxing witnesses, or sharing unreleased info that was hidden by the police on purpose. From their perspective, what they are doing is considered: business opportunity, but exploiting True crimes is obviously not ethical and shouldn’t be promoted. The sad reality is that followers ( especially generations Z and Y) of influencers demands their say or input on various issues on platforms that don’t cater to adults who rules every aspect of their lives, but from social media influencers who carved their lucrative careers with zero input from adults.
