The show elaborates that passing down information thru verbal have much more chance of embellishment like stories but those in writing forms are fixed. While for retaining memories, research says reading is the best but there are instances that other mediums might be better for other people. Personally reading would help me retain more memory as I will tend to repeat a sentence over and over again or skim a bit faster than listening if I just want to go through it fast. Entertaining wise I would think listening is much more pleasurable.
