1:01

are you? How

1:13

about it? We're

1:22

doing a fun ride this week. It is not for everybody for

1:24

sure, but it's for a lot of you. We've got a whole

1:26

bunch of people every single day who say, well, this dude's different.

1:29

He talks different. He thinks different. It's

1:31

common sense. It's all, this, I'm a regular guy

1:33

that just happens to work with like thousands

1:36

of people. I see the world in a different

1:38

place and I am just committed to being happy and

1:40

content and basically get out of bed and

1:43

deciding that whatever I choose to do, I will go

1:45

do. That's what I want in my

1:47

life. And if I don't want to do anything, I don't care

1:49

what the standard is. Doesn't matter. It's up to me to do

1:51

what I want to do. And I want the same thing

1:53

for you. Is that cool? You'll play along today. Today, we're

1:55

going to talk about you being stuck in cement.

2:00

Are you stuck in cement? Hmm. Feel

2:04

like you can't get where you're going to go? Some people say stuck in neutral. I

2:06

like to go a step further than that. No, it's

2:08

not neutral. I literally can't move. That's a zick. It

2:11

is a daily boost from motivation to move.com. The positive boost

2:13

you need every single day. Fill

2:15

in the gap between woohoo and let's

2:17

go get them because somewhere

2:19

in between. Have you ever

2:22

been to a motivational seminar? A

2:24

high performance seminar. Have you been? They're

2:26

wonderful. I love to go. I've been to

2:28

a lot of people's community and spent incredible amounts of money. Glad I

2:30

did every single one of them. That's why I'm here basically. I learned

2:32

how to do it. But I noticed something. I

2:34

noticed I would go to these things and

2:36

they rar, rar, pump you up kind of stuff. And

2:39

it really worked well for like three days. And

2:42

life kicked in gear again. Like if

2:44

you got back on a Monday, by Wednesday I was like, get back

2:47

to normal. That always happened. And then

2:49

I've also done, I literally have done the, I remember

2:51

I went to a retreat up in Minnesota one time.

2:54

And it was, it

2:57

was not normally something I would do, but I did it. And

2:59

and we were, it was

3:01

really woohoo, really, really woohoo. And

3:04

it was great. It was fantastic. I was happy to be there

3:06

and everybody's on the same page and we were changing our vibrations

3:08

and all that kind of stuff. Right.

3:10

And then it flew back home and within two days, boom, right

3:12

back to normal. Just happened. And that's happened

3:14

thousands of times, probably hundreds for me, but thousands of

3:16

times to people I know. And

3:19

so this whole program is essentially understanding that and

3:21

understanding that I love all the high performance stuff.

3:23

I love all the universal woohoo stuff. I do.

3:26

I live it. I breathe it. I'm

3:28

a human just like you. I do. out

3:31

do I have sharp razor blades? That's

3:33

the problem, right? So

3:35

we work on that level. So

3:38

if you're in the middle, wondering

3:40

why these things in left and right here are not working, you found

3:42

the right place. Good to have you. Did I say who I was?

3:45

I forget. It's me, Scott. If you don't

3:47

understand, look it up. I'm everywhere. All

3:49

right. So let's

3:52

talk about cement today. Why

3:54

not? Because it just makes sense. Because if you're

3:56

OK, let me ask you a question. ever

4:00

been in your car

4:02

about ready to go across

4:04

a bridge. Maybe

4:07

you see it coming. Now this one, I've seen some bridges

4:09

on YouTube. I mean, before YouTube

4:12

came, I didn't know how scary this world

4:14

was. There's some bridges and some roads out there that are

4:16

really scary. But

4:18

now I know, because I've seen them. But say you're in

4:20

your car and you're coming up to the big bridge and you see

4:22

the big bridge up there and you need something, right? What

4:26

you need is you need a really solid

4:28

foundation on this side of the bridge. And

4:31

you need a really solid foundation on the other side

4:33

of the bridge. And then in between,

4:35

you need a really solid bridge that you will drive your

4:37

car across, right? We have to have that. Well,

4:41

the same thing kind of happens with the

4:44

symbolic bridge. The

4:47

next chapter of your life, what you want to

4:49

be doing. Having a solid foundation on both sides

4:51

is the goal. But what happens if

4:54

say you got a pretty solid foundation here and

4:57

yet you're trying to cross the bridge and

4:59

go to a new life, you want to go to school, you want to do

5:01

something on the other side, but every time you step your toe into it, you

5:04

figure that your foot sinks into the cement and

5:07

you get kind of stuck and you can't move forward and you

5:09

can't move backwards. What happens if you're on

5:11

this side and

5:14

you've been standing in that cement that you poured

5:16

so, so, so many years ago and it

5:18

hardened around your feet and you can't

5:20

even take a step. You're so

5:23

stuck. It's

5:25

really common. I

5:27

talked to a lot of people. This

5:29

is not a career I decided to do one day, not

5:32

a career. I didn't come out of high school and say I'm going to

5:35

be this kind of guy that does this kind of thing. No, I didn't

5:37

do that. I was training myself. I was learning.

5:39

I was doing things. I was, I was getting out there. I

5:41

was using all these techniques in my own

5:43

life. And one day I thought, well, it

5:45

might be good to share some of what I know on a podcast and I

5:47

started doing it. And here we are 18 seasons later, about

5:50

25 years of doing this. I

5:54

just kind of arrived here. And

5:56

all the talking I've been doing to people over the years,

5:58

I just found it's really uncommon. to

6:00

build such a solid foundation in your current life

6:03

and not to recognize you actually have your feet

6:06

down inside that cement, it has hardened and you

6:08

can't move forward. And

6:10

you wonder why. Now,

6:12

a lot of times we can say you're stuck in your comfort zone.

6:14

In fact, I'm gonna say that's probably what it is. If

6:18

you're happy, the bills are paid,

6:21

everything is okay, what's

6:24

the incentive to shake things up? And

6:27

I see that a lot. Guys, let me talk to you for a

6:29

second. Ladies, you're not like this,

6:31

but guys, you're just like this. Kind of some inside baseball

6:33

here. The guys will always get on the phone and guys

6:35

will always say, well, life is, I'm doing

6:37

really good in my career, been successful, I've got a couple of

6:39

motorcycles, got a beautiful family, got a beautiful house. And

6:42

that's what all starts and it goes on for about 10

6:44

minutes. Everything's really good, man. It's all good. I know I'm

6:46

grateful, I'm really grateful for everything, but

6:48

Scott, I need to talk to you. You're

6:52

happy, sort of. Your bills are paid, sort of. It's

6:54

all okay. You wanna shake things up,

6:57

but you can't get yourself to do it because you built

6:59

the foundation so long ago and

7:01

cement has hardened around your feet and you can't move.

7:08

We can break out of the cement, can't we? At

7:10

EverNorth Health Services, we believe costs shouldn't

7:13

get in the way of life-changing care.

7:15

And we're doing everything in our power

7:17

7:19

7:21

7:26

it's possible. Complex specialty care

7:28

7:30

possible because we're already doing it, all

7:33

while saving businesses billions. That's

7:36

Wonder Made Possible. Learn

7:38

more at evernorth.com/wonder. So

7:42

one of the only ways to really truly believe

7:44

that you can move yourself forward is something you

7:46

hear us talk about a lot. And

7:48

that is, we talk about the why. Why

7:51

you wanna make a change. Why

7:53

you're looking to the future. Why you need

7:55

to. And why you need

7:57

to have a really comfort life. Even though you might be

7:59

frustrated The incentive to stay there is really

8:01

big. So I

8:03

don't care how big your why is to make a change,

8:05

whether it's to move a new career, whatever it is, there's

8:08

all kinds of things we can do. I

8:11

don't care how big the why is, if you

8:13

are feeling so comfortable that you're stuck in that cement, you're not

8:15

gonna go anywhere. So

8:18

you have to find a way to chip away at it. One

8:21

of the ways I like to chip away at it, knowing

8:24

that the why is the thing, the why is the only thing

8:26

I think is gonna break you out of that cement, you gotta

8:28

feel so strongly that you're going in that direction, that you can

8:30

break free of where you are, that

8:32

you have to start imagining what's in the future. Now here's

8:34

the problem with imagining what's in the future. You've never been

8:36

there, you've never done it. There's

8:39

no possible way for you to even understand it. That's

8:42

not the way it works. God, if I believe it, if I

8:44

see it, it can be real, I can make it happen, yeah

8:46

I know. That's what we say, that's what

8:48

the law of attraction folks say the whole thing, but I'm gonna talk

8:50

realistic to you these days. Personal

8:52

person, inside of you, the person who you are, if you

8:54

have this big dream to go somewhere and do something even

8:57

though you've read and studied and you know exactly how to

8:59

do it and everybody told you you can do it, you've

9:01

watched every YouTube video on the planet. You

9:03

even got special shoes for it these days, you know how

9:05

to do it, right? Truth is you've never

9:07

done it, so you really don't know what it's gonna be. As

9:09

Benjamin Hardy would say, your future self is not your future self

9:12

yet, you're currently your present self. No possible way for your present

9:14

self to know anything about your present or your past, that's it.

9:17

No possible way for your present self to know what your future

9:19

self is gonna be, it's impossible. So

9:22

when you are sitting there with your feet in your cement

9:24

in your very comfortable comfort zone and

9:27

you can't figure out because somebody rented out all the jackhammers

9:29

and you can't seem to get out, maybe you tried that

9:31

before that didn't work. You ever notice when you jackhammer yourself

9:33

out, another cement truck comes by and fills it in again.

9:39

You gotta understand that why on the other side. You

9:41

gotta begin to build a vision. That's why

9:43

I talk about bridges all the time because what I know is this,

9:46

I know that no matter where you are today, if you wanna go

9:48

across a bridge and get a new life of whatever you want it

9:50

to be, you have to build a foundation on

9:52

the other side. That means you gotta go to school, that means you gotta

9:54

save some money, that means you gotta do the things and give you the

9:56

confidence to leave what is so

9:58

comfortable today. Cause I got

10:00

to tell you if you're, if you're comfortable today and there's a little bit

10:03

of a change on the other side, it's going to be fearful. You're not

10:05

going to go after it. You're never going to make that step. How

10:09

many things have you done that to? How

10:11

many times have you given up a future because you

10:13

didn't believe in yourself so strongly you're willing to break

10:16

free of what's holding you here? Yes.

10:21

They can be scary. However,

10:25

staying where you are for the rest of your life, if

10:27

you're not happy with it, I

10:30

find that scarier. If

10:34

you are happy, I call that living.

10:40

Keep what you have. Get

10:42

what you want. That's the goal. So right now, once

10:44

you look down at your feet, you're

10:47

listening to this program. And if you're listening to this program,

10:49

you're undoubtedly trying to live a better life, the best life

10:51

you can be, the best person you can be. You're trying

10:53

to do something, trying to break free from where

10:55

you are to get where you want to go. Right? So

10:58

look down at your big toe and see if it's sticking out

11:00

from cement and

11:02

dream a little bit and build that why. And say, well, if

11:05

I want to break free, I got to know why I want

11:07

to break free. And as soon as you believe that enough, you're

11:09

going to do it. Probably automatically. You probably won't even

11:12

have to think about it. You'll just start moving that direction. People

11:14

will say, what are you doing? Well, I've been

11:16

looking at my foot, stuck in cement, decided I didn't like

11:18

it anymore. And I got a better idea. So I'm going

11:20

to go do it now. What? You can't change. You've been

11:22

this way your whole life. Why would you change? Because

11:26

I want to. That's

11:30

good enough.
