In this episode I got to chat with Licensed Therapist and boundary expert, Kristin Winchester. Kristin is the founder of Her Therapy Space, a mental health private practice in Washington, DC. Kristin shared her journey to starting Her Therapy Space, a practice that helps women in the areas of anxiety, depression, toxic relationships and boundaries. She shares how her own personal struggle with setting boundaries resulted in her relocating and watching her life crumble as a result of people pleasing and her inability to say no.
Kristin is committed to helping women of color know themselves and begin to establish healthy boundaries to preserve their time, energy and ultimately themselves.
Topics we discussed include:
-What are boundaries and why we need them
-Breaking unhealthy patterns of people pleasing
-The importance of preserving ourselves
-Rest as a birthright
-Setting boundaries at home and work
-Challenging our fears and moving forward
