"Back To Audience"Growing up, I was part of a Drama Group and I remember one of the things I was taught was when performing, You do not turn your back to the audience. This is because, the audience is one of the two essential features of a live theatrical performance, along with the performer.Actors will talk about "feeding off of" an audience's energy, as they laugh more, cry more, jump in their seat or respond vocally in a large, involved audience. In a live Orchestra Performance, the Conductor has his back to the audience. That in a way defiles the rules of live performance. But in order for the conductor to put up a great performance, he/she will have to turn their back to the audience to focus on the Orchestra as they face the audience to perform.
