Episode Reviews

I’m a fan of Ken Lane. Chalk it up to my various flirting with (and once downright deep embrace of) woo and magical thinking... and I’d have a hard time defending against your claim. But I think it’s more the structure, the tone, and the way I feel when I listen. This episode is a little different than others, with a long interview of a clear kindred spirt, Erik Davis. I’m not normally a fan of long form interviews, but it fits the theme of the show. I listened on a Saturday morning, making breakfast, trimming my nails, watering the plants, and enjoying yet another gourd of mate. And since it was during my woo-embracing days when I was first introduced to Yerba mate by some crazy ex-hippies, it all comes full circle.
