There is a lot of things to love about Dragon Shanty. From the fairy tale, feel to the narrators using their voice to tell us a story... as if we were IN the story. I feel this take does much more to make me feel a part of the adventure. There is a lot of great world building here, especially the concept of what a Bard is. And, we got dragons here, who doesn't love that! I would 100% recommended this to anyone who enjoys a good, fantasy adventure.

From the music to the heart-felt storytelling, it's like you've been invited to sit in front of a warm hearth in someone's home. It's the perfect remedy to a stressful day, and the characters will make you feel seen. It's not all dragons and whimsy; the stories come with levity and deep perspective, venturing into some dark and often all-too-relatable territory (especially with some very specific characters, ha!)

The creators have learned a lot since launch, and their "remastered" first episode shows a ton of growth. With new confidence in their style, Dragon Shanty is an audio-book-like fantasy bedtime story with the listener tucked in tight as the two lighthouse keepers recall the life of adventure they have had together. Here at the beginning, it feels like an epic in the making, embracing the fantastical elements of magic and dragons, but played with affection, kindness and wonder.
