1:12
Back. Big Dreamers and episode We're
1:14
diving into the power of self
1:16
control and the impact of our
1:18
actions on others. Big Gamers. Have
1:21
you ever said something in the
1:23
he of a moment that later
1:25
you were granted. Or. Perhaps
1:27
found yourself wishing you could take
1:29
bath a hasty to see him.
1:32
Well every day I like this.
1:34
Start with short but why story
1:37
about a young boy who earned
1:39
a very valuable lesson. Once
1:42
upon a time, there was a
1:44
young boy who was easily angered
1:46
his father hoping to teach him
1:48
a lesson send him to the
1:51
Zen Master. The Zen
1:53
master welcome boy in, gave him a
1:55
bag full of males. He instructed boy
1:57
to hammer a nail on to them.
2:00
wooden fence every time he lost his
2:02
temper. On the
2:04
first day, the boy drove 37
2:06
nails into the fence. Over
2:09
the next few weeks, he learned to control
2:11
his anger. The number of nails hammered gradually
2:14
went down. He
2:16
discovered it was easier to hold his
2:18
temper than drive all those nails into
2:20
the fence. Finally, the
2:22
day came where the boy didn't lose
2:25
his temper at all. He
2:27
told us to the Zen Master, who then
2:30
suggested that the boy should pull out a
2:32
nail for every single day he was able
2:34
to hold his temper. The
2:37
days passed and the young boy was finally
2:39
able to tell the Zen Master that all
2:41
the nails were gone. The Zen
2:44
Master led the boy to the fence and said,
2:46
you have done well my boy, but look
2:49
at the holes in the fence. The
2:52
fence will never be the same. When
2:54
you say things in anger, they leave
2:56
a scar just like this one. The
2:59
boy understood how powerful his words
3:01
were. He learned
3:03
that like the nails left holes in
3:05
the fence, his anger
3:07
could be scars in people's hearts.
3:11
From that day on, he
3:13
learned to control his temper
3:15
and treat people with more
3:17
respect and consideration. The end.
3:21
Big Jeepers, do you agree that this
3:23
sale not only speaks to the heart
3:25
of understanding emotions, but also
3:28
teaches us about the lasting effects
3:30
our actions can have? How
3:33
can we prevent the metaphorical holes
3:35
we sometimes punch in our relationships?
3:38
Can we truly repair the damage
3:40
once it's done? Recently,
3:42
I started taking jiu-jitsu classes
3:44
at the logo dojo and
3:46
I really appreciate how their
3:48
philosophy helps with control. Just
3:51
like the boy with his nails, I've
3:53
been learning to manage not just
3:55
my actions, but also my reactions.
3:59
Jiu-jitsu. A little
4:01
strength. It's about mental
4:03
strength to. See,
4:05
their cell phones are all
4:07
an awareness reminding us that
4:10
every movie made just like
4:12
the words we speak has
4:14
consequences. And you good
4:16
seal. Every action is a lesson. Pulling
4:19
up and nails in our story is a
4:21
lot like learning a new move in class.
4:24
It takes her sisters and
4:26
understanding that changes a gradual
4:28
process. And just as
4:31
a Zen master taught the boy
4:33
about mindfulness, intersection and use, it
4:35
feels we're taught to reflect on
4:37
our actions and learn from them.
4:40
which helps us grow not just
4:42
as a martial art as bad
4:44
as people. So
4:46
what do you think? Be gamers? Can
4:48
we have why? These lessons and
4:51
stories from the get go into
4:53
our daily lives? Next.
4:57
Feel a surge of anger
4:59
and frustration. Pies take a
5:01
deep breath before responding. Guess
5:04
practice mindfulness every single
5:06
day. even if it
5:08
just for a few minutes to
5:11
enhance here where aneurysm thoughts and
5:13
reactions. Fair. To reflect on
5:15
the guy you. Hi each evening.
5:17
I didn't know. Again, moments you
5:19
handled the wow and again
5:22
assigning areas for improvement. By.
5:24
Incorporating the simple fact this isn't
5:27
your daily routine, you can begin
5:29
to see a change. Know me
5:31
