SHOW NOTES:

In Podcast Episode 265, “When You Make Yourself an Enemy of God, Your Enemy Meter Is No Longer Rightly Calibrated,“ Kim discusses the mistaken spiritual vision that occurs when one makes himself an enemy of God. As we see with King Solomon, because of his wrong choices, the Lord had raised up men to stand against him. Yet, those were not his real enemies. His real enemy was himself. We all have had times when we were our own worst enemies but continued to fight against perceived enemies until the Lord spiritually shook us to re-calibrate our perspective.

Our focal passages for this episode are 1 Kings 11:26-43 with verse 40 as the focal verse:

40 Solomon tried to kill Jeroboam, but he fled to King Shishak of Egypt and stayed there until Solomon died.

WEEKLY ASSIGNMENT FEATURE:

Prayerfully determine whether you are currently a friend of God or have made yourself an enemy of God?

Now, she wants to use God’s Word and lessons from her faith journey to encourage others in loving Jesus. In each episode, Kim will share insights regarding a portion of God’s Word and challenge listeners to apply the lessons to their daily lives. If you want to grow in your faith and learn how to encourage others in loving Jesus, subscribe and commit to prayerfully listening each week. May God honor this personalized scripture prayer in the life of each listener:Dear Lord,I pray that from Your glorious, unlimited resources You will empower each listener with inner strength through Your Spirit. May You make Your home in her(/his) heart as she trusts in You. May her roots grow down into Your love and keep her strong. And may she have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep Your love is. May she experience Your love, though it is too great to understand fully. Then may she be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from You. Now all glory to You, who is able, through Your mighty power at work within her, to accomplish infinitely more than she might ask or think. (Ephesians 3:16-20 Personalized Prayer)”Remember, It’s Always a Trust & Obey Kinda Day!”
