Tonight I talked about how experts have been predicting an outbreak for many years. In November 2019, an Expert Panel released a report on the Potential Socio-Economic Impacts of Antimicrobial Resistance (https://cca-reports.ca/reports/the-potential-socio-economic-impacts-of-antimicrobial-resistance-in-canada/) that predicted much of what we are experiencing including dramatic shifts in the way people now behave in what used to be mundane interactions such as taking a flight (https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/05/is-flying-safe-coronavirus/611335/).
