Technology has transformed our lives. We consult our phones multiple times from the moment we wake up until our head hits the pillow at night. We spend our day in front of a computer screen and we spend our leisure time watching TV, browsing content on social media, Face-Timing with friends and family or even doing a yoga class online.  

But did you know that your tech habits could be making you sick? They can impair your ability to focus and your motivation, but also make you feel helpless, overwhelmed, depressed, and exhausted. 

In this episode, Alex and Nikhita discuss the signs of digital burnout and share ideas to give you a break from screens. Here are some of our suggestions: 

  • Start by recognising there's nothing wrong with you. We live in a world where we're connected to more tools and information than ever before. 
  • Build new digital habits by forcing yourself to disconnect each day. Even for a short period of time at first. Remember small steps are the key to build new habits. 
  • Take a digital detox and try analogue activities such as painting, reading, cooking, puzzling, or just go for a walk outside
