God initiated his covenant with Israel after redeeming the Israelites from Egypt and safely bringing them to Mount Sinai, as he promised he would. As part of maintaining the covenant relationship with him, Israel was given several laws to live by, including the Ten Commandments, of which the last 6 are addressed in this message.
