Interesting listening to the varied definitions of comeback. For me, a comeback is a significant album followed by a period of sustained relevance for at least one more album. I’ll take two of my favorite hair bands as examples: Ratt and Stryper. Ratt had a brilliant album with Infestation (shut it Pooney, Pearcy’s voice is perfect for this band). Then, they decided the best course of action was to go full Rainman, scream and beat themselves in the head, rather than board the plane. Stryper had a brilliant album with No More Hell to Pay. Then they released one juggernaut after another and then consistently toured with plenty of success. One had a comeback. One didn’t. Even though neither of you can pronounce Coo-D-Grah, I think you can figure which is which. So, I’d disagree with plenty of the examples in your episode as I don’t think they came back at all. They just tried to make some extra cheddar…Nevertheless, great episode!
