14. Dealing with Loss as a Couple

We wanted to do this pod to honor our own, and those countless friends and family members who have suffered a loss as well. So we’re sharing our story, what Dynae went through, and Matt’s feelings about it all as well, because often the partners in these situations don’t always get to tell their side, but it’s just as valid.

How to help?

• Stop the stigma. Women feel a tremendous amount of guilt when they experience a loss. Let’s stop that.
• Normalize talking about it. Share our stories. Not only can it help the grieving process, it helps others feel less alone.
• Listen to women and their stories. Acknowledge the loss, and offer support however the parents need.
• Pregnancy is a HUGE part of women’s health, recognize and support policies that protect that health.
