It's no secret that environmental issues disproportionately impact people of color and low income folks. Because of this many folks of color understand that caring for and understanding the environment is integral to our future as a society. One way in which people of color choose to engage in this work is through obtaining a formal education that will better help them address the most pressing environmental issues. What isn’t seen here are the additional barriers that people of color come up against while trying to enter the field of environmentalism their experiences are unique.  Join me for a dialogue with environmentalist Charles Espedido (he/him)  as they share their experiences navigating a environmental science education as a student of color.
