Meet The Joy CEO, Lori Pine

 Her first job at Anheuser Busch was buying beers for people in bars; for company promotion and partnerships. Crazy because she wasn’t even so much of a drinker! Lori, The Joy CEO, is now an Executive Coach to women looking to make their next best moves to a life with more purpose, joy, inspiration and peace!

Lori made her journey to the executive level herself by way of big corporate names such as Anheuser Busch. She got her start in marketing and learned the ropes by creating a community with local distributors and gaining exposure. Though she didn’t stay there for long, Lori already knew how tough it was for women then to get exposure to climb up the corporate ladder without divulging into such promotional activities. However, perseverance and hard work seek no validation. Lori’s hard work eventually led her to land a critical role at Coca-Cola.  All this while traversing motherhood, divorce, parenting, and her mom's death, a critical support element to her life.

 The following years saw her take up multiple roles and responsibilities, founding and managing a marketing company for three years, doing consulting work, and circling back to corporate as the VP of Campbell’s, a role she held for a period of time until She decided to walk away and find something that filled her with joy and passion. 

And then? A brief silence. Do you know that point where all the career hubbub comes to a sudden halt? That’s the kind of silence that teaches you to introspect.  Lori decided to reinvent her life and take the time she knew she wanted for herself – spend it with her family, on her kids, and focus on herself. She hired a coach to help her uncover her life’s purpose and discover her gifts. The process helped her realize that mentorship was her jam. She built on it and, today, helps executives and entrepreneurs navigate their personal and professional lives despite their high-performance careers.

 Lori’s story on this episode of Her Next Best Move leaves us with a very important lesson: when you know your internal self is nudging you, telling you that you deserve more than you have right now, take it as a hint.
