Looking for a nutritionist who can help you get to the root of your health challenges? Look no further than Erin Holt, the expert who's been in the business of helping women heal for over a decade! With her unique blend of evidence-based practices, functional lab testing, energy medicine, and a dash of humor, Erin's approach to women's health is truly one-of-a-kind. But she's not just a nutritionist – she's also a mentor and inspiration to other professionals in the field, thanks to her 14-month practitioner training program, "Functional with a K Nutrition Academy."

Erin knows firsthand the struggles of disordered eating, negative self-talk, and autoimmune issues. She's dedicated her career to helping others find their way out of the same struggles. In today's episode, she shares her knowledge of the importance of taking charge of your own health, listening to your body's needs, setting boundaries, and creating sacred space for self-reflection. She also talks about the tricky balancing act of attachment and authenticity, and how important it is to model self-care and boundary-setting for children. Plus, you'll learn about the power of intuition and emotions, the importance of self-care, and the concept of inner child work. All in all, Erin's got a wealth of wisdom to share – don't miss out on this opportunity to "eat" it all up!

As a board-certified integrative and functional nutritionist today, she helps women get to the root of their health issues and find answers to their “mystery” symptoms.

Episode Highlights:

●   Listen to your body and develop the skill of self-awareness, rather than outsourcing health decisions to professionals or influencers. Take breaks from distractions, such as screens, to allow for deeper self-reflection.

●      Dr. Gabor Mate's concept of two core essential needs: attachment and authenticity say that often, attachment, or the desire to be close to others and belong to a group, can overpower the need for authenticity and act on one's own needs. This tension can lead to trauma and impact both mental and physical health.

●      Listen to your intuition and emotions in order to discern one's life purpose and make the best choices in life.

●      The idea of inner child work involves re-parenting one's inner child in order to heal past trauma.

●      When someone is dealing with a health issue, it is important to address all four bodies (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) in order to find a path forward. This may involve addressing physical factors such as diet, gut health, and hormones, as well as exploring any underlying beliefs or life lessons that may be contributing to the issue. It is important to meet oneself where they are at and not rush into spiritual or metaphysical exploration before addressing more immediate physical concerns. It is also important to remember that illness can be an opportunity for growth and self-exploration and to approach it with curiosity and openness.

●      Be present and aware in order to identify and address negative thoughts and behaviors.
