Hi there, I am thrilled you are downloading

0:02

this podcast and it is my hope and

0:04

my prayer that you're going to hear something that's going to change

0:06

you, encourage you, edify, equip you,

0:08

and then get you out there into the marketplace

0:10

of ideas where you can let your light so shine

0:13

for him. But before you go, just a

0:15

minute. Can I talk to you one second about this month's

0:17

Truth tool? I love it, I love the title, I

0:19

love the author. It's called How to Talk About Jesus

0:21

without Looking like an Idiot. Hello. How

0:23

many of us feel that? How many of us panic?

0:25

We don't want to talk about Jesus. We're afraid

0:27

we're going to be marginalized. We're going to look stupid.

0:29

We know that it's tough to talk about faith in

0:32

this cancel woke culture. But

0:34

you know what? We're told to go. Jesus knows

0:36

the culture we live in, but we're told to go

0:38

and tell. And that's what this book does

0:40

in the most pragmatic way. This brilliant

0:43

man, Andy Bannister, who really

0:45

and truly understands apologetics, teaches

0:47

us how to step into natural, fearless,

0:50

effortless conversations to share

0:52

the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

0:54

I don't know about you, but none of us is ever too

0:56

old to learn how to do this, because the

0:58

directive to go and tell has never changed.

1:01

That's for every single one of us.

1:03

So I really encourage you this month,

1:05

get a copy of How to Talk About Jesus Without

1:07

Looking like an idiot. It's my way of

1:09

saying thank you when you financially support the program.

1:11

We are in fact listener supported radio, so

1:13

you can give one time and get that month's

1:16

truth tool. Or you can give every single month and I'll

1:18

tell you about that in a moment. But again this month,

1:20

if you want a copy of How to Talk About Jesus

1:22

Without looking like an idiot, just call 877

1:44

linger there for a minute and see what it means to be a partial

1:46

partner. These are people who give every single

1:48

month at a level of their own choosing.

1:51

You always are given the opportunity

1:53

to get the truth tool, just as our way of

1:55

saying thank you for being a partial partner. But

1:57

in addition to the truth tool, we'll also

1:59

give you a copy of our newsletter, which goes

2:01

out once a week only to our partial partners.

2:03

That does include an audio segment from me

2:05

as well. So a gift of any amount.

2:25

And production and all that.

2:32

Hi, friends. Welcome to In the Market with Janet

2:35

Parshall. It's Heart to Heart Friday,

2:37

where Craig and I share some of the stories making

2:39

headlines this week. And then we'll offer

2:41

our insight and analysis. If you'd

2:43

like to join in the conversation on what we're talking

2:45

about, please call (877) 548-3675.

2:49

That's (877) 548-3675.

2:53

Now let's take a quick look back at some of the other

2:55

topics we discussed this week.

3:04

Following the second coming of Christ, Christ

3:06

will set up his Millennial Kingdom, which

3:08

is a 1000 year kingdom. During

3:10

this time, Satan will be bound in a

3:12

spirit prison and only Christians

3:15

enter into the Millennial Kingdom.

3:17

But those Christians will still have babies

3:19

during the Millennial Kingdom. Some

3:21

of them will grow up to be Christians, others

3:23

will not. Even those who

3:25

are not Christians can still live in the

3:27

kingdom so long as they obey Christ's

3:30

government.

3:31

If a charity is rated red on the list we've

3:33

identified, you know, not to give to those charities.

3:35

They have a history of supporting

3:37

anti-life, anti-family themes.

3:40

But fortunately there are some green ones on the list too,

3:42

which we've identified as good charities. But, you

3:44

know, overall, we just really want people to remember

3:46

that where they're dollars and cents go really

3:48

matters, and that speaks louder than anything else.

3:51

So that's why we bolster the charity watch list

3:53

so much, because it's it's really a way for people

3:55

to take their power back.

3:56

Everything that laypeople hear while

3:58

they are listening to their pastor.

4:01

Is this in the Bible?

4:03

Is he referring to the Bible? Is

4:05

he teaching me the Bible? Is he

4:07

wanting me to read the Bible? Is

4:10

he is is he motivating me

4:12

to want to read the Bible? I mean,

4:14

listen, the Bible will change. The

4:16

Bible is what God uses to help

4:18

change our lives.

4:19

If you want to really feel hope toward people,

4:22

get into an extreme situation

4:24

of need and watch people around

4:26

you come to bat. It's so

4:29

beautiful to see our community

4:31

gathering around the money keeps

4:33

slowly coming in. We're seeing it happening.

4:35

He's feeling so hopeful and

4:37

I'm excited that that

4:39

we get to say people do have a beautiful

4:42

heart. They do want to help. They want to be a part

4:44

of the people around them.

4:47

Patient goes to a doctor and says, I want to be killed.

4:49

The doctor says, okay, I'll kill you. The

4:51

doctor then contacts the Organ Donation

4:54

Association, which

4:56

in turn contacts the patient and says,

4:58

I'm sure they don't say it this bluntly, but it's

5:00

what they're saying. Can we have your liver? Can we

5:02

have your kidneys? Can we have your

5:04

lungs? It is

5:07

a to me, a a

5:09

complete rejection

5:11

of care because these people don't get offered

5:13

a, a suicide prevention, but

5:15

they do get offered. Can we have your organs.

5:18

The confusion that is happening around gender.

5:20

It is amazing to me to to think

5:23

that 30% of Gen Z

5:25

women, and of course we know that those are girls

5:27

or women ages 12 to

5:30

27 say that they identify

5:32

as LGBT. Q

5:34

so this has become a real

5:37

epidemic of gender

5:39

confusion, and it's not only affecting

5:41

those outside the church, but affecting

5:44

the women in the church.

5:47

It's hard to heart Friday. Here are some of the

5:49

other stories making headlines this week.

5:51

Boeing is closing in on a deal to

5:54

buy back spirit AeroSystems,

5:56

a former subsidiary that plays a big role

5:58

in making its jets. The

6:00

US aerospace giant wants to take

6:02

it back as part of moves to improve

6:04

quality control.

6:06

Believe it or not, the debate is less than a week

6:08

away, and this morning, President Biden is huddled

6:10

with his top advisers at Camp David

6:12

preparing to face off against Donald Trump.

6:14

The IDF's main spokesman.

6:16

Daniel Hegarty, appeared to question

6:18

Israel's ability to wipe out Hamas.

6:21

In an interview with Israeli Channel

6:23

13, he said the way Palestinians

6:25

in Gaza think about Israelis

6:27

has to change or the violence

6:30

will continue.

6:32

It's hard to hurt. Friday on in the market

6:34

with Janet Parshall. Craig and I have lots

6:36

to share, and we'll put the first story on the table

6:38

when we return to join the conversation

6:40

on the topics we're discussing, call (877) 548-3675.

6:45

That's (877) 548-3675.

7:01

Today's cultural norms discourage many Christians

7:03

from talking about faith. That's why I've chosen

7:05

how to talk about Jesus without looking like an

7:07

idiot. As this month's truth tool, discover

7:09

how to respond confidently to tough questions

7:11

about the Christian faith. Ask for your copy

7:13

of How to Talk About Jesus without looking like

7:15

an idiot. When you give a gift of any amount to in the market,

7:18

call 877. Janet 58. That's

7:20

877 Janet 58 or

7:22

go to in the market with Janet parshall.org.

7:26

Happy Friday to you friends. This is in the

7:28

market with Janet Parshall. Craig Parshall is with

7:30

me. And what we do on Fridays is

7:32

we go round robin on a myriad of topics,

7:34

but we look at them from a biblical perspective.

7:36

And in truth, we never have a shortage of

7:39

topics to discuss. We're going to dive into one

7:41

that was big news this week and gave the ACLU

7:43

a headache this big. The governor

7:45

of Louisiana signed a law

7:47

last week that will require the Ten

7:50

Commandments be displayed in public schools

7:52

all across the state of Louisiana.

7:54

Now, of course, that gave apoplexy to

7:56

the people who just want any recognition

7:59

of a historical document dealing with faith

8:01

to be obliterated from the cultural

8:03

horizon. But Governor Landry

8:06

believes in displaying a historical

8:08

document, something he said, especially

8:10

when it's as important as the Ten Commandments.

8:12

And then he made this astute observation. Look, when

8:14

the Supreme Court meets and he's right, the

8:16

doors of the Supreme Court on the back side

8:18

have the Ten Commandments. In fact, it sits. It's

8:20

a frieze, which means a marble 3D carving.

8:23

It sits directly opposite the

8:25

Chief Justice seat. And then when

8:27

you go into the house on Capitol

8:29

Hill, Moses faces the US

8:31

speaker in the House, in the House chamber.

8:34

He is, after all, Governor Landry said,

8:36

the original giver of law. Most

8:38

of our laws in this country are founded on the Ten

8:40

Commandments. What's the big problem? And

8:42

that's the part I don't understand.

8:44

According to the new law, the signs must

8:47

be in a large, easily readable font

8:49

and posted in public school classrooms

8:51

by the beginning of 2025. The

8:53

posters will also have a three paragraph

8:55

statement explaining that the Ten Commandments have

8:58

been a prominent part of American

9:00

education. By the way. Again,

9:02

as I referenced, the ACLU, well, of course,

9:05

the ink wasn't dry for the governor's signature

9:07

and now planning a lawsuit challenging

9:09

the Louisiana law because it is, quote, blatantly

9:12

unconstitutional and violates, quote,

9:15

the separation of church and state. So the

9:17

governor pushed back and he basically

9:19

said that he didn't know that living

9:21

the Ten Commandments is a bad way of life. I mean,

9:23

look at this country. This country was founded on Judeo-Christian

9:26

principles. And every time we steer away

9:28

from that, we have problems in our nation.

9:31

And he said that schools across the country basically

9:33

treat kids like critters. Now that's Louisiana

9:36

thinking if there ever wasn't, by the way. And

9:38

by the way, there's a contagion here because the

9:40

Texas lieutenant governor pledges to pass

9:42

a Ten Commandments bill. You know,

9:44

I have to tell you, some in our own camp have

9:46

sadly and egregiously referred

9:48

to this as, quote, the trinkets of religion.

9:51

It's not. And obviously,

9:53

whether or not there's a Ten Commandments in the classroom

9:55

may or may not lead someone to salvation

9:57

through faith and grace in Jesus Christ.

9:59

But the governor's right in that it is a historical

10:02

document. And when we didn't lose our minds,

10:04

we recognize the law.

10:06

And we are not a Christian nation,

10:08

because that would presume that everybody in the in the nation

10:10

is a practicing Christian. However, it is undeniable

10:13

that this country was founded on

10:15

Judeo-Christian principles,

10:18

so much so that we recognize

10:21

it in the national motto In

10:23

God we Trust, and having ten commandments

10:25

all over Washington, where the ACLU tried though

10:27

they might, with the biggest scrub Brillo pad they can find,

10:30

cannot scrub it out of existence

10:32

here in Washington, DC. But oh, they're

10:34

going to make sure it doesn't show up in a classroom anywhere.

10:36

It's not an establishment of religion.

10:38

It is not blatantly unconstitutional.

10:41

Despite the dreams that the ACLU

10:43

have and their anticipated

10:45

victory in this particular case. So what's going to happen?

10:48

Losses, losses, lawsuits.

10:50

Exactly. Right. And it's

10:52

an interesting issue because the Supreme

10:55

Court has in, uh,

10:57

some pretty clear language,

10:59

approved, uh, the.

11:03

UPS the

11:06

use of the Ten Commandments

11:08

as a reference

11:10

to of the importance of religious

11:12

liberty as something that was

11:14

part of American and world history.

11:17

Uh, in public venues,

11:20

in on statehouse grounds,

11:22

as an example. But

11:25

this is public school, and I know what their

11:27

arguments are going to be. The ACLU and

11:29

all of their ilk will argue

11:32

that the classroom is different.

11:34

The public school is different. These

11:36

are impressionable minds. These

11:38

are captive audiences of

11:41

little children. And as a result,

11:43

they shouldn't be indoctrinated with

11:45

Christianity. Now, now, excuse me, but it's

11:47

in the Old Testament, not the new. So it's

11:49

both Judeo and Christian,

11:52

right? But but that's not inclusive

11:54

enough, you know. It has to be also,

11:56

uh, you know, Muslim, it has to be Buddhist

11:58

and so forth. So I know their argument

12:01

is going to be that they're a captive audience

12:03

and that the Supreme Court, back

12:05

in the 20th century, lots of cases,

12:08

uh, around the 40s and

12:11

50s and 60s that

12:13

said, no prayer in school, no passing out Bibles

12:15

in school.

12:15

And we've done oh so well since then, haven't we?

12:17

We've just public schools have

12:19

gotten so much better at educating

12:22

our children. Yeah, exactly. Wait

12:24

a minute. Did I just say that? Um, and

12:26

some public schools do, but many

12:28

of them do not. They're so busy, um,

12:31

going into social engineering

12:33

than they are in the academics,

12:35

athletics and athletics

12:37

that I think the Greek had the good idea

12:39

on that now. But let me talk about

12:42

why I think they're going to lose those

12:44

lawsuits that the ACLU and other groups, not.

12:46

Louisiana, the other groups are going to.

12:48

Yeah, the ACLU and all the

12:50

attackers who are going to file suits

12:52

against this, because

12:54

the mere presence of the Ten Commandments

12:56

is not indoctrinating is

12:58

a matter of fact. It's one of those universals,

13:01

as you pointed out, when you go in the Supreme Court

13:03

chambers, you will see, uh,

13:05

references in the,

13:07

uh, the carvings in the

13:09

courtroom itself of the giving

13:12

of the Ten Commandments, along with the other,

13:14

um, embodiments from other religions.

13:16

So, in other words, religious liberty

13:19

is, uh, one of our mainstays

13:21

and respect for religious liberty. And

13:23

also, uh, the Ten Commandments

13:25

transcends just one

13:28

religion or even two, because

13:30

there is seems to be in American

13:32

history a universal acknowledgment

13:34

that those prohibitions.

13:38

Reflect some positive values

13:40

that almost all of us have always

13:43

agreed to. If you own property,

13:45

it's wrong for someone to steal it from you.

13:47

Okay, if you don't

13:49

tell the truth, there could be repercussions

13:52

not just in your marriage and in your

13:54

family, but in your community

13:56

and in governance as well. If our

13:58

leaders lie to us constantly,

14:01

that's not good for good governance.

14:03

So these rules

14:05

that are set forth in the Ten

14:07

Commandments have a broad application

14:09

for the betterment of our society,

14:12

without necessarily indoctrinating

14:14

you to believe in the Christianity

14:17

or in the Judaism from

14:19

which it sprang. Um, so

14:21

I think they're going to lose, but it'll be fiercely

14:23

fought, I predict. Well, you.

14:25

Know what's interesting, because you talked about

14:27

the Ten Commandments not being indoctrination,

14:29

right? Okay. So

14:31

their argument would be when we put those

14:34

gay books in there in the library.

14:36

That's not indoctrination, right? Well, they know

14:38

it's indoctrination. So how does your argument

14:40

hold up when they use that as an example?

14:42

Well, because I talked about universal values,

14:45

not only are the books that are

14:47

being discussed and argued over

14:49

in public school board

14:51

meetings not universal. They're

14:54

in fact, universally, the American people

14:56

have condemned that exposure

14:58

of children to that. It is a small,

15:01

very devoted

15:03

small percentage of

15:05

the hard American left,

15:07

including, uh, the

15:09

gay rights movement, including the trans

15:11

movement, which make up about

15:14

1% of 1% of the American population,

15:16

have aggressively since

15:18

about the 1950s and 60s,

15:21

uh, aggressively used intimidation

15:23

and and all means

15:25

necessary other than rational

15:28

debate, which has been conspicuously

15:31

missing in these movements.

15:33

Right. Let's talk about whether or not

15:35

being, uh, gay is

15:37

something in the genes or a choice.

15:39

Let's talk about whether it's good for American society

15:42

or not. Uh, those debates

15:44

really, uh, had

15:46

a very short shelf life.

15:48

And then suddenly, uh, it came

15:50

to politics and political pressure

15:52

and threats of organizations

15:54

and intimidation against organizations like American

15:57

Psychological Association to suddenly

15:59

start adopting by

16:01

force. Right. Uh, some of these ideas.

16:04

So pulling it out of that, uh, pride

16:06

circus, let's drop it contextually into

16:08

the question of establishment, because that's what the ACLU

16:10

is going to argue. So exposure

16:13

does not equal establishment. These are people

16:15

who, just like a vampire, doesn't like the light,

16:18

are afraid that any exposure

16:20

to anything that is religious is going

16:22

to be anathema to them. So what constitutes

16:24

what constitutes establishment? Well, I'll go

16:26

well, so can I give a couple examples? Sure. If

16:28

the government were to pay the salaries

16:31

of pastors, you'd have an entanglement problem.

16:33

If in fact, the government controlled creeds,

16:35

orders, orders of worship, clerical appointments

16:37

in the church, you'd have an establishment problem.

16:39

If the government required mandatory

16:41

attendance at worship service, that would be

16:43

an infringement. If the use

16:46

of the state church to record births

16:48

was required to perform all marriages and funerals,

16:50

that would be an entanglement if they

16:52

were confining public offices and voting

16:54

rights to members of a state church, that

16:57

would be establishing we are so we're

16:59

not even in that universe, by the way, when

17:01

it comes to establishment. But it does raise an interesting

17:03

question, which is this is where the court

17:05

is going to have to clarify this question, because the establishment

17:08

question is really up for debate right now.

17:09

Well, it's been clarified, and

17:11

I'm going to quote from a case that comes from a number

17:14

of years ago that I argued in front of the Wisconsin

17:16

Supreme Court where there was a

17:18

Christian creche, a Christmas creche

17:21

on a public park, uh,

17:23

owned and operated by,

17:25

uh, the city of Waunakee. And

17:28

they paid, I don't know, $100 during

17:30

the Christmas season for the electricity to

17:33

it. Okay. So part of the argument was

17:35

taxpayer money is going to the lighting

17:37

of this, uh, creche. The

17:40

bottom line is the court agreed with

17:42

our argument that recognition

17:45

of a certain religious tradition

17:47

is not endorsement of

17:50

it. It's not establishment

17:52

of it. Recognizing the reality

17:54

of it is not necessarily

17:57

endorsement or establishment of it.

17:59

Under the Establishment Clause of the First

18:01

Amendment.

18:02

We're going to take another topic up when we return.

18:04

This is in the market with Janet Parshall.

18:06

That's Greg Parshall. Don't forget this month's truth tool,

18:09

yours for a gift of any amount, and it will go

18:11

away at the end of the month. It's called How to

18:13

Talk About Jesus without sounding

18:15

like an idiot, where listener supported radio.

18:17

My way of saying thank you is giving you the truth tool back

18:19

after this. So

18:25

the Massachusetts Department of Public

18:28

Health has released a taxpayer

18:30

funded campaign.

18:32

Uh, they're calling it an educational campaign. It is

18:34

nothing but, uh, misinformation

18:36

warning pregnant women to avoid

18:39

pro-life pregnancy resource centers.

18:42

And they are alleging, excuse me,

18:44

in this ad that these nonprofit

18:46

organizations put women's health at risk,

18:48

end quote, use deceptive practices

18:51

to attract patients. So the state

18:53

health department created the public education

18:55

campaign in collaboration with something called the

18:57

Reproductive Equity Now Foundation.

19:00

I'm sure their right of center

19:02

and conservative know it

19:04

happens to be the sister organization of an activist

19:06

group that works to get abortions easier

19:09

to women. So the campaign was funded

19:11

through $1 million investment

19:14

passed by the state legislature as part of the

19:16

fiscal year 2023 supplemental budget.

19:18

And the advertisement is going to be on all

19:20

kinds of various platforms social media, radio,

19:23

billboards, and Massachusetts by the

19:25

way, the Great Commonwealth is the first state

19:27

to launch a campaign to dissuade

19:29

women from visiting pregnancy centers.

19:31

Now, we knew this was going to come. Senator Elizabeth

19:33

Warren from the state of Massachusetts, has pontificated

19:36

on multiple occasions about these, quote,

19:38

deceptive centers and wants

19:40

to do all that she can. Well, she's a US senator.

19:42

She can't influence the US Senate, but

19:44

oh my, she's going to influence her

19:46

home state of Massachusetts. And so

19:48

she very much has been a juggernaut in moving

19:51

this forward. The governor, by the way, a female,

19:53

said in Massachusetts, we're committed

19:55

to protecting and expanding access to safe

19:58

and legal abortions. Does

20:00

that include lying? Okay. I want you

20:02

to hear the ad. Have a listen.

20:04

Whether you need pregnancy care or abortion

20:06

care, avoid anti-abortion

20:08

centers. They may look like

20:10

medical clinics, but can put your health at

20:12

risk. They

20:15

mislead you about your options if you're pregnant

20:19

and they don't offer abortion care.

20:25

Learn more and find care you

20:27

can trust.

20:29

Learn more at mass.gov. Get

20:31

trusted care.

20:33

Get trusted care. Can you believe that?

20:35

Well, first of all, how many abortion

20:37

clinics in Massachusetts have ultrasounds?

20:39

One of the allegations they're making

20:41

is that people at pregnancy

20:43

help centers use ultrasound and then lie

20:45

about the results. Ever met with CPC?

20:48

Ever seen people who do ultrasounds offering

20:50

them free? By the way, some of these pregnancy help

20:52

centers are so cool. They actually have units

20:55

on wheels and they'll come and they'll

20:57

park at a parking lot for somebody who allows them to park

20:59

there, and they'll offer free ultrasounds. Why

21:01

do they have to do that? Because you see, the death

21:03

on demand crowd has been saying to the mom

21:05

that this is nothing but a clump of cells,

21:07

and they don't want her to know how far along

21:10

baby is, because baby just might wave

21:12

back, have hiccups, do a somersault.

21:14

Oh, that's going to be bad for business.

21:16

So the only time groups like Planned

21:18

Parenthood and other pro-abortion clinics

21:20

will put forth an ultrasound is

21:23

if they have a question about the gestational age,

21:25

because they might have to change the technique they're going to

21:27

use to take the life of the baby. And they

21:29

upcharge, by the way, yes, that's right, ladies and

21:31

gentlemen, the farther along you are in your pregnancy,

21:33

the more expensive it's going to cost you to

21:35

kill your child. So who's being dishonest

21:38

here? Who's being deceptive at

21:40

a pregnancy help center? They simply have mom

21:42

look at the picture. You cannot misrepresent.

21:45

They haven't done a fake. A deep

21:47

fake. That was a popular word this week, by the way.

21:49

A deep fake that this isn't really what the

21:51

baby looks like in utero. And do you know

21:53

what we know? The statistics tell us that over

21:56

90% plus women,

21:58

once they see an ultrasound of their

22:00

baby, don't get the abortion.

22:02

So how do you defeat an idea you disagree

22:04

with with a better idea? Apparently that's not the

22:06

case in Massachusetts. They're just going to do

22:08

dirty politics, spend $1 million, splatter

22:11

it all over the state, and try to make sure

22:13

they shut down these clinics. The

22:15

governor again made this statement that includes

22:17

protecting patients from deceptive and dangerous

22:20

tactics. I think what's dangerous, Madam

22:22

Governor, is lying to a woman and

22:24

telling her that that baby, by the way,

22:26

has a completely different set of fingerprints

22:28

than mom. Heartbeats at a different

22:30

rate. Could be a boy. She's a girl. Could have brown

22:33

hair. You have blonde hair, could have blue eyes. You have

22:35

brown eyes. And you don't tell her any

22:37

of that. Because the more you acknowledge the personhood

22:39

of the pre-board, the less your cash register

22:41

rings. So, Madam Governor, back

22:43

to your state. And so you believe that

22:46

these, quote, anti-abortion centers

22:48

are used to stop people from accessing

22:50

comprehensive reproductive services? Really?

22:53

No. What happens is these pregnancy

22:55

help centers decide they're going to treat the whole woman.

22:57

So how many CPCs out there

22:59

that are absolutely, by the way, greater

23:01

in number than the abortion mills? They

23:04

do things like provide education

23:06

Layettes helping mom get her GED,

23:08

give her parenting skills, give her housing

23:10

if necessary, provide the layette. Oh yes.

23:13

And then when the door of opportunity opens,

23:15

they introduce them to the one who gives life

23:17

eternally. This is a spiritual

23:20

war. And so the taxpayers in Massachusetts

23:22

just paid $1 million to go to

23:25

the dark side. Craig, your thoughts on this

23:27

taxpayer money?

23:28

Yes. Now, I mean, we

23:31

happen to know that there

23:33

are a lot of good pro-life people up

23:35

in Massachusetts, and they must be outraged

23:37

that their tax money is going to this

23:39

scam, this disinformation

23:42

campaign, if there ever was one. But there

23:44

was one thing that the ad

23:46

did say that was absolutely correct.

23:49

Pro-Life centers like

23:51

the clinics they're trying to defame

23:54

don't provide, quote, abortion

23:56

care. Thank you. Because abortion

23:58

care doesn't exist. Abortion

24:00

care is self-contradictory because

24:03

it is uncaring for the mother

24:05

and terminally uncaring

24:07

for the unborn baby. Mhm.

24:10

Uh, and of course it insults and

24:12

defames those many, many pro-life

24:14

centers that you and I know, a pregnancy

24:17

help centers that have doctors associated

24:19

with them and nurses and the

24:22

state of the art equipment for ultrasounds

24:24

that will really show the mother the

24:26

real story about what's happening

24:28

inside her body.

24:29

Can I tell you what what's particularly nasty

24:32

about this is that at the end of the ad, when

24:34

they give the website, that website

24:36

encourages women to file complaints

24:38

against pregnancy centers and attempts

24:40

to offer advice on how to spot a, quote,

24:42

anti-abortion center. So we need to be praying

24:45

for our brothers and sisters who are on the front line in

24:47

Massachusetts. By the way, it won't stop in Massachusetts.

24:49

You can take a deep breath. Now, this is a national

24:51

movement. They're just starting in Massachusetts.

24:54

But in fact, there will be people who will go, quote,

24:56

undercover and try to quote, rat out

24:58

the people working at Pregnancy Help Center. You

25:01

must be doing something right when the enemy

25:03

has to work that hard. You go,

25:05

my CBC friends in Massachusetts

25:07

stay on that front line and win this battle

25:10

one heart at a time. Back after

25:12

this. We

25:27

live in complicated times and in the market, we're

25:29

helping you interpret complex cultural issues

25:31

through the lens of Scripture. Our team of partial

25:34

partners is growing. And to say thank you, they

25:36

receive exclusive information from me. In

25:38

fact, I talked to you directly from my

25:40

personal computer to yours by email. Become

25:42

a partial partner today and you'll receive these exclusive

25:44

benefits. Call 877 Janet

25:47

58 or go online to in

25:49

the market with Janet parshall.org.

25:53

So as we continue our conversation, I want

25:55

to pick up after that

25:57

situation in Massachusetts. And

25:59

I have to tell you, when you go through life

26:01

with the Bible in one hand, in the newspaper and the other,

26:03

it is amazing the clarity of

26:06

vision you have. It is 2020

26:08

vision. You see things so differently,

26:10

such clarity. You understand

26:12

that there is evil afoot and you understand,

26:15

as we're told in the book of Ephesians, that

26:17

our battle is not against flesh and

26:19

blood. So you have these campaign

26:21

for $1 million that promulgates lies

26:24

and deception. This is quintessentially

26:27

there. The the pro-abortion

26:29

camp is worried about the deceptive practices

26:31

of a pregnancy help center, and yet their ad is

26:33

as deceptive as the day is long. Well,

26:36

let me give you more evidence that this is spiritual warfare.

26:38

This is blasphemy, by the way. It's

26:40

absolute heresy. But it is absolutely without

26:42

a doubt. Also, I think

26:44

blasphemy and heresy combined spiritual

26:47

warfare. And this time it showed up in religious

26:49

garb. Have a listen.

26:51

Jesus were giving his sermon

26:53

today. He might also have

26:55

said, blessed

26:58

are those who end pregnancies,

27:01

for they will be known for

27:03

their loving kindness.

27:06

Okay, you want to come in on that? Mr.

27:08

partial.

27:08

You know, when you preach

27:11

forth, you expound to your

27:13

congregation. I assume that's what

27:15

she is doing.

27:18

Um, would excuse me. I raise

27:21

my hand. I'm sorry to interrupt the service.

27:23

Would you give me a scriptural text

27:25

on that? I let let's start there.

27:27

Let's not end with your politics.

27:30

Let's start with the Word of God.

27:32

Then we'll have a theological discussion.

27:34

Steven, do me a favor. Play that clip one more time.

27:36

I want friends to hear it again. So here's this woman

27:39

preacher again.

27:40

Jesus were giving his sermon

27:42

today. He might also have

27:44

said, blessed

27:46

are those who end pregnancies,

27:50

for they will be known for

27:52

their loving, kind.

27:53

This this is quintessential

27:56

Margaret Sanger, who said, the most loving

27:58

thing you can do in your family,

28:00

and I'm paraphrasing here, is basically get

28:03

rid of a child that you don't want, so

28:05

you can put on all the religious garb you

28:07

want to, but nothing could be farther from the truth.

28:09

So see what I'm going to play clip number eight, because

28:11

I'm going to linger. And Craigie, I want you to pick

28:14

up on this because there's a tie in here. So

28:16

when you decide that you're going to preach

28:18

another gospel and you reveal

28:21

what your priorities are, and you just heard

28:23

that obviously pregnancy for this particular

28:25

woman, obviously it's a priority

28:27

because she made it up. There's nothing in

28:29

the Scripture where Jesus would have even intimated

28:32

to that, by the way. In fact, we have a

28:34

preponderance of evidence to use a standard in the

28:36

law that it's exactly the opposite, that God

28:38

for knew us, knit together in

28:40

our mother's womb, knew us before our

28:42

days were. In fact, when a when

28:44

Mary goes and visits her cousin Elizabeth, what

28:46

happens to that baby in utero? Both women are

28:48

pregnant, so one pregnant woman sees another pregnant woman

28:50

and Elizabeth's baby jumps

28:53

in the womb because she recognizes

28:55

that Mary is carrying in her

28:57

womb the Savior of the world. Person

28:59

out of the Pre-board pretty hard to deny that. So

29:01

now we have another female pastor,

29:03

complete with all the religious garb. And

29:06

in some respects it's a word salad.

29:09

But I want you to hear exactly again

29:11

how she's woven in extra biblical

29:13

ideas. Have a listen.

29:15

You see, when the authorities accused Jesus

29:17

of acting on behalf of Satan,

29:19

everything that is righteous and of God

29:22

is thereby misidentified

29:24

and maligned by people

29:26

who publicly identify as

29:28

followers of God, which

29:30

means thereby God

29:32

is being misidentified and

29:35

maligned by people who publicly identify

29:37

with God. In

29:39

short, gods and

29:41

god and gods works are being

29:43

equated with evil. This is

29:45

blasphemy against the Holy Spirit,

29:48

and I am here to say that she does not

29:50

abide such insults. The

29:53

story from thousands of years ago. Though notwithstanding,

29:56

in our day and age we are increasingly

29:58

faced with people who similarly speak

30:01

in the name of Jesus and utter similar

30:03

words of blasphemy, endorsing ideas

30:06

and movements and laws and people

30:08

who do not in the least represent

30:11

God or God's ways. Their

30:13

words and actions do tremendous damage

30:16

to God's creatures, God's creation,

30:18

and to people's understanding of the ways of

30:20

God and the collateral damage

30:22

to God's intentions for God's people. And

30:25

this earth is catastrophic.

30:27

Jesus, Christians believe,

30:29

reveals God's agenda, God's

30:32

vision for this world, and it is

30:34

indeed one of wild

30:36

and radical love of inclusivity,

30:39

of that which and whom is otherwise

30:41

marginalized and broken of

30:43

honor for the least, the lost,

30:46

the last, and the losers

30:48

of the subversive notion that vulnerability

30:51

is power, that humility

30:54

is noble, that sacrifice

30:56

is generous, that we're all sinners

30:58

and all are in need of and

31:00

receive forgiveness, that death is

31:02

not worthy of our dedication.

31:06

And wherever you see the opposite

31:08

of that the sowing of

31:10

hate. Exclusive claims based

31:12

on narrow mindedness and privilege, the

31:14

building of borders rather than bridges,

31:17

the extolling of authoritarianism

31:19

rather than the concern for the subjugated

31:21

and the oppressed, unalloyed hubris

31:23

and the wielding of fear and retribution

31:26

rather than the stewarding of grace and

31:28

restoration, and any of it done

31:31

in the name of God. Well.

31:34

Well as my black siblings in

31:36

Christ would and do say well,

31:39

well.

31:42

So. Yeah, yeah. This

31:44

text should give us pause.

31:46

No, what gives me pause is this word

31:48

salad. So she's got critical theory

31:50

in there. She's got Marxism in there.

31:52

She's got her politics in there. And then most of all,

31:55

she's revealed her worldview by calling

31:57

the Holy Spirit a she. Craig,

31:59

your thoughts?

32:00

Well, let me go back to the Beatitudes.

32:02

You know, Jesus could say,

32:04

we can imagine. Jesus could

32:06

say, blessed are those who abort their babies,

32:09

basically, right? So

32:12

let's go to the Beatitudes. I

32:14

hear blessed are the poor in spirit,

32:17

those who mourn, those who were

32:19

meek, those

32:21

who are merciful,

32:23

merciful, destroying

32:26

your unborn child. Merciful. Okay.

32:29

Peacemakers, persecuted because

32:31

of righteousness. Blessed are

32:33

those who are righteous. Uh,

32:36

but I don't see termination of

32:38

your pregnancy anywhere in

32:40

there. Uh, what I

32:42

do find is

32:44

the fulfillment of the law. Jesus

32:47

says, and this is Matthew

32:49

15. Uh, excuse me, five,

32:51

verse 17. Don't think I have come to

32:53

abolish the law or the prophets. I

32:56

have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill

32:58

them. In other words, he ratifies

33:01

the integrity and authenticity

33:03

of God's moral law as set

33:06

forth in the Old Testament. Those

33:08

are the moral parameters. Don't

33:11

take it up with me. Take it up with Scripture.

33:14

God inspired, uh,

33:16

men to write 66 books. And

33:19

that defines what we

33:21

know to believe what we know about God.

33:23

Know about his son, know about

33:25

the way of salvation. Know about his kingdom.

33:28

The only know ability we have about God

33:30

is not this word salad that you just

33:32

heard, but what is

33:34

contained between Genesis

33:36

and Revelation. Understood

33:39

properly through the Holy Spirit, which is not

33:41

a she. You won't find that anywhere in Scripture.

33:44

Hmm.

33:45

Well, chaos. And that's exactly

33:47

what we're seeing. And, you know, just a little bit of truth

33:49

in there. And then a whole lot of anything

33:51

but the truth.

33:52

I've long said this, and it wasn't

33:54

my wisdom. It was a recognition

33:57

of one of those things that hits you in the face.

33:59

Long ago, I realized

34:01

maybe it was because of the number of witnesses

34:04

I had to cross-examine on

34:06

witness stands and jury trials, when I

34:08

knew they were not telling the truth. A

34:11

half lie. Excuse me.

34:13

A half truth is more dangerous than a whole

34:15

lie. Because a whole lie can usually

34:17

be discerned and pulled apart pretty

34:19

easily. It's the half truth

34:22

that's dangerous. Satan

34:24

used the same technique

34:26

in the book of Genesis in

34:28

the garden. He still using it today.

34:31

And unfortunately people have been duped like

34:33

these poor people we just heard.

34:34

Let me go back to the state of Louisiana. Senator

34:37

John Kennedy is from that state. He had a lot

34:39

of things to say about title nine. There's a whole

34:41

lot of action this week just on that. Have a listen.

34:44

The debate that President Biden's

34:47

rule has provoked

34:50

could, could profit,

34:53

it seems to me, from some facts,

34:57

uh, it begins

34:59

in a mother's womb.

35:04

Even before birth.

35:07

It is a biological fact

35:09

that baby boys begin

35:12

developing different hormones

35:15

and different skeletal structures

35:19

in the mother's womb that

35:21

help them outperform girls

35:24

athletically. That's

35:26

just a biological fact. Testosterone

35:30

exposure in the womb,

35:34

um, alters brain development.

35:36

And boys. That's just

35:38

a biological fact. Now,

35:40

what does that do that improves their motor

35:42

skills vis a vis

35:45

girls and in and

35:47

it improves their aggression and

35:49

increases their aggression. Uh,

35:51

now those are two traits that benefit

35:54

competitive athletes. Boys

35:58

also, uh, experience

36:01

with the doctors and the scientists call

36:03

a mini puberty once

36:06

again in the mother's womb shortly

36:08

before birth. That

36:10

helps baby boys gain weight

36:13

faster than baby girls

36:17

once they're born. And that,

36:19

ultimately, is what contributes

36:22

to boys, generally speaking,

36:24

being taller on

36:26

average than girls. And

36:29

that's the case, as we know throughout life.

36:33

Um, so Senator Kennedy from

36:35

Louisiana, just laying out the basic science.

36:37

So when we come back, I want you to hear a couple

36:39

of things. Number one, there is a whole lot

36:41

of action on this title. Nine just by

36:43

a quick rewrite, again, over 50 years ago,

36:46

title nine was introduced quite literally

36:48

end discrimination against girls in sports.

36:50

It created a level playing field. It

36:52

served women well. Lots of women have gotten

36:54

scholarships to go on to college, and

36:56

it's helped them to have the opportunity

36:58

to compete competitively, just

37:00

like their counterparts in the male

37:03

population. But then

37:05

we lost our minds and common

37:07

sense was thrown on the ash heap of history.

37:10

And now in the rewrites, we've

37:12

got a new definition of sex. I'll tell you what's happening

37:14

to the latest rewrites and where it stands

37:16

in the court of law, as well as the court of public

37:18

opinion back after this. So

37:40

let me bring you up to speed on title nine.

37:42

So it really is a Pandora's box.

37:44

And if you know anything about Greek mythology, that's a

37:46

perfect reference. So somewhere along

37:48

the line, this current administration decided that they

37:50

would take sex, male or female, and

37:52

make it anything you wanted to be. Two spirit

37:55

furry, whatever it is, I don't care. We're

37:57

going to open the door. And by the way, when you open the door,

37:59

you are now going to be required to open wide

38:01

the doors of hell because you cannot

38:03

prohibit anything. So it's just a matter

38:05

of time before when we normalize, you know,

38:08

minor attracted adults. We

38:10

used to call them pedophiles, but now we don't want to do that because

38:12

that's not die. So we're going to give them

38:14

a different name. It's still a perversion. It's still

38:16

sick. But it's anything goes in

38:18

first century Rome. And that's where we are right

38:20

now. But I am encouraged

38:23

by seeing people who push back and say, enough,

38:25

we won't bend our knee, we won't drink the Kool-Aid.

38:28

We're not going to be a guppy. We're not going

38:30

to be a sheep. We're not going to be easily led

38:32

astray. We're going to push back. So

38:34

now a federal court has blocked the implementation

38:37

of the latest rewrites of title 9 in

38:39

6 more states,

38:41

after a West Virginia middle school girl

38:44

sued her state for being forced to compete

38:46

in school sports with a boy who identified

38:48

as a girl. This injunction now from this judge,

38:51

blocks the rules from going into effect in

38:53

Ohio. Kentucky. You can cheer if you're in

38:55

one of these states Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee,

38:57

Indiana, Virginia, and West

38:59

Virginia. Now, this ruling comes less

39:02

than a week after a federal

39:04

judge in Louisiana. Apparently,

39:06

that is the state of the hour. We keep talking about

39:08

Louisiana. They blocked the rules from

39:10

being implemented, and that in turn affected

39:12

Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana,

39:15

Idaho, all of which joined together

39:17

in a lawsuit to stop the rules from going into

39:20

effect. Uh, and by

39:22

the way, last week, uh, there was a US

39:24

district attorney, a district judge, by

39:26

the way, who called the new rules, quote,

39:28

an abuse of power and a threat

39:30

to democracy. Now, that takes some chutzpah in

39:32

this day and age to be able to do that. So, Craig,

39:35

a quick response and then I want you to hear a piece of audio

39:37

that really sums this up beautifully. This

39:39

this is a juggernaut, boy. This is an avalanche. This

39:41

ball is rolling. And it's picking up more and more and

39:43

more states. And I think it's important

39:45

that it's happening now because it's going to impact what happens

39:48

in the fall. But it is dorm rooms. It is locker

39:50

rooms. It is where people bunk. It's

39:52

whether or not they have to share when they're on the road, the whole

39:54

nine yards. It's a mess.

39:55

It's going to end up. I

39:57

think it was about two years ago that one of these

39:59

cases from Virginia,

40:02

uh, made its way to the Supreme Court. Supreme court decided

40:04

to kick it and not not accept

40:07

it again. They were waiting for a number

40:09

of different circuit courts, that

40:11

is to say, the Court of Appeals from

40:13

a number of the different circuits

40:15

around the country to start ruling on

40:17

these because they don't want to be the court of first

40:19

impression, they want to be the court of last

40:21

resort. So

40:23

this is going to end up on their steps.

40:26

They will have to decide this once and for

40:28

all. Um, for

40:30

those of us for whom the law

40:32

seems clear, in some issues, this

40:34

seems to be one of them. You

40:36

just wonder, how long does it take

40:39

to get these resolved to have

40:41

clarity, logic, and common sense applied?

40:44

Uh, Supreme Court's going to have to take it up.

40:46

And whether or not it happens in

40:48

this new calendar that they're taking

40:51

up cases right now. Don't know.

40:52

Yeah, exactly. So let

40:55

me tell you the impact. And by the way, this is going to obliterate

40:57

the if the administration

40:59

gets their way, this question of whether

41:01

or not boys can cheat and compete

41:03

against girls is going to be answered. So let me tell you

41:05

just the lay of the land on this. According

41:07

to the Washington Times, just this week, five

41:09

biological males who identified

41:11

as female one girls

41:13

state titles at outdoor spring meets in

41:15

Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine,

41:18

Oregon, Washington. What's wrong with the guy

41:20

that has to cheat to get I

41:22

mean, this this Thompson fella

41:25

who now calls himself Leah Thompson, who cannot compete

41:27

internationally and international games. We talked about

41:29

that last week. Do you go to bed

41:31

at night and feel comfortable in your skin, knowing that you had to

41:33

cheat? You were average swimmer, right?

41:35

There has to be something very seriously wrong.

41:38

And I really I pity

41:40

some of these people who believe

41:42

that they can find worth

41:44

in that unfairness

41:46

in a competitive sport, because competition

41:49

requires fairness. Absolutely.

41:50

So when this is all said and done, and we've talked

41:52

about the CAS report, we've talked about the reports

41:54

coming out of Finland and Sweden and France and the

41:56

UK. Uh, we talked about

41:59

a group, and we're going to talk next week to a representative

42:01

of the American College of Pediatrics who

42:03

put out a declaration that saying

42:05

that children need to be protected. But at the core

42:07

of all of this is identity.

42:10

Who are we? I

42:12

want you to hear this testimony from

42:14

an ex LGBTQ woman

42:16

who tells the truth about trans

42:18

same sex desires and what

42:21

God did for her. This is the

42:23

answer to the question the culture is wrestling

42:25

with in its entirety. Have a listen.

42:27

Being gay or trans is a sin. Why did God give

42:29

me these desires? A question I asked myself

42:32

for years as I was living with gender confusion

42:34

and same sex attraction from as early as I can

42:36

remember. But the reality is every single one

42:38

of us are born with. Desires that don't live up to

42:40

God's standards, because we inherited what the Bible

42:42

calls as a sinful nature or the spiritual

42:44

death of Adam. So the desires were born with,

42:46

whether it be to murder, to steal, to cheat,

42:48

to lie, or to engage in any type of sexual

42:51

immorality do not come from God's will.

42:53

That's why God requires anybody who desires

42:55

to follow him, to be born again, and not in

42:57

a physical rebirth, but a spiritual rebirth

42:59

where he takes our selfish heart of stone and

43:01

replaces it with a heart of flesh that desires

43:03

to pursue God in his righteousness. So when we

43:05

choose to simply put our faith and believe in Jesus

43:07

and His Word, we receive the freedom from all

43:10

sin and the power to live a life of godliness.

43:12

And I know a lot of people gave up on Christianity

43:14

or Jesus because they tried to pray the gay away,

43:17

but the desires didn't seem to go away. But you

43:19

have to understand, those inclinations and desires

43:21

aren't for God to take away, but for us to

43:23

surrender. And it's through that surrender and development

43:26

of a relationship with Jesus, where you'll begin to

43:28

see the grip of those sinful desires

43:30

lose a hold on you, and the love that you have for

43:32

Jesus will surpass any other love that you

43:34

have for the world. I encourage those of you who

43:36

feel the tug of the Lord for you to come back home

43:38

to stop focusing on all the things that you're going

43:40

to lose, but instead focus on everything

43:42

that you're going to gain eternal life, which is relationship

43:45

with Jesus, freedom from shame and righteousness.

43:49

Well, I'll tell you what, that's a message

43:51

in response to Pride Month. Your thought.

43:54

And this is why I love His word because it

43:56

is so applicable. Jesus

43:58

said, I have come that you might have life and

44:00

might have it more abundantly.

44:02

Abundant life is what

44:04

he offers the world

44:07

and all that's in it, including

44:09

all the political and social movements that

44:11

would mischaracterize God and

44:13

His plan, gender and culture.

44:16

They will always fall short. Jesus

44:19

is the source of life, and life abundantly

44:22

well.

44:22

And what she said. It isn't a matter of asking

44:24

God to take the desire away. It's a matter of you

44:26

surrendering your desires to him. And by the way,

44:29

if sexual sin isn't your struggle, it's

44:31

whatever is pushing Christ off

44:33

the throne room of your heart. And

44:35

so if you're struggling with those desires,

44:37

it's maybe the

44:39

praying it away isn't the answer. Maybe it's rather

44:41

God, not my will, but

44:44

thine. Give me the desires

44:46

of my heart.

44:47

And you know what? He will O.

44:48

Faithfully, faithfully. So that's

44:50

our response. We're almost through Pride Month.

44:53

We're so tired of hearing this propaganda and

44:55

the promulgation of lies and the celebration

44:57

of sin. But the answer to sin

44:59

is Jesus. And that's not just

45:01

the answer. For the month of June, so-called

45:03

pride month. That's the answer to the sin

45:06

of pride and lust and greed

45:08

and lying and fill in the blank. All

45:10

of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

45:12

But the answer is Jesus.

45:14

Why? Because he paid it all.

45:16

We'll see you next time, friends.
