Season 2, Episode #6 - Clara Lyons-DeVaughn

This month, Glenn Greenidge and Grace Lawrence interview CLARA LYONS-DEVAUGHN:  

Clara Lyons-DeVaughn is the broker/owner of Lyonsview Realty, a full-service brokerage providing residential, commercial for small businesses and non-profits, and property management services.  Clara is a short sales specialist and holds the CDPE - Certified Distressed Property Expert designation.

Clara has been a real estate professional since 1996.  She moved to New Jersey in 2005, and signed on with Weichert Realtors in 2006. She purchased and sold real estate on both coasts and was bi-coastal for almost 3 years before settling in and focusing her attention in New Jersey. Clara opened Lyonsview Realty in May 2016, the first arm of the Lyonsview brand. The brand includes Lyonsview Academy, the education arm; Lyonsview Lifestyles, the health and wellness arm; and Lyonsview Management solutions, the contract and consulting arm.

Clara joined the Facilitator Body of the International Black Summit (IBS) shortly after attending her first Annual Summit Event in Oakland California in 1993. She participated as the Finance Coordinator for several years, was one of the co-founders and original hosts of the IBS Blog Talk radio show; and met her husband Edwin “Blacklov” DeVaughn at the Philadelphia summit.

Clara served as President of the Southern New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (SJNAREB) from 2014 – 2019, was Regional Vice President for Region 2 in 2022, and currently serves as the SJNAREB Board chair (2020 - present). Clara also served as the Director of the Victorious Business Professionals Ministry at Victory in Christ Christian Center from 2013 - 2022. 

Clara received her Master of Science and undergraduate degrees from the University of Southern California and prior to entering the field of real estate full time, was a financial and management analyst at the local, state and federal levels.  Clara is an avid international traveler.
