On this episode of #LatinosOutLoud @Rachellaloca sits down with New York-based journalist, author, and filmmaker, Alberto Ferreras. The two long-time friends chat about his latest exhibit, Latinos in America: 1935-1945 that highlights Latinos who helped rebuild America after The Great Depression. Running now through June 12th at The Instituto Cervantes in NYC, the installation is a meticulously curated immersive showcase with images of nameless Latinos who made a big impact in this country. You may also know Alberto as the author of the award-winning novel “B as in Beauty”, the plays “Hamlet in Harlem”, and “The Miracle”. He currently works as a creative consultant for Televisa Univision. And you've heard Rachel talk about being cast in HBO's Habla Ya, well he is the brainchild behind that long-running and innovative docu-series.
