Live from Fremont's three experience in fabulous downtown Las Vegas. It's the podcast that
0:06
celebrates our city. This is living Las Vegas. We are celebrating and we
0:12
are spreading the positivity because we are here to say F yeah for F one?
0:17
Am I right? Nice? That's got to be the first time anybody's
0:21
done that, said F one? Right? Did you just coin that?
0:25
I can't be that. That's Mojo everybody, Mojo Roberts. Well, look,
0:31
I'm probably the first person. Well, I can't say that I emphatically
0:34
agreed with that sentiment. But I got to imagine that people aren't as excited
0:39
as we are on this podcast today about it. We're staying positive to to
0:43
all the negative stuff we've heard it. It's been going on for months.
0:47
Let's just put it all in the past and stay positive for five minutes of
0:51
positivity about it. I'll give you five minutes here about F one. Right
0:57
back to the well with it on this episode. No, because I didn't
1:03
say the word. I cleaned it up. It's okay. So when it
1:07
comes to positive things about F one, Look, there are as a spectacle
1:10
coming for this thing. Sure, so we're going to talk about some of
1:12
the cool things happening around that. If you are interested in going through the
1:18
amazing spectacle that is F one, there are there are some things that we
1:21
can talk about that could tip you to that way. If you haven't already
1:23
purchased your ticket yet, there are still some available. What a weekend.
1:26
It's going to be a weekend and it's going to be a first for Las
1:30
Vegas, which you know we've had a few of those in the last few
1:33
years. We've got our first Super Bowl coming up, and now we have our first race. The weather last week looked like we might have rain that
1:40
has gone away, looks like we're going to have rain. No rain for now. It's a blind melon song son change this weekend. These things can't
1:46
change in the desert. But it was interesting. We brought up the point
1:49
of what could happen in rain and you know, I was thinking, wet
1:52
tracks. Is that going to be okay? And you brought up, oh, we've had flooding in the past. Depends on how much rain, but
1:56
it doesn't take much before we got some standing water on the strip. And
2:00
so unless they've done something with drainage that we didn't hear about, and we
2:02
seems like we heard about everything that was going into the construction. Unless they
2:07
changed the drainage, I don't think they did. Enough rain would cause pooling,
2:12
which would definitely I would think shut things down. But again, you're
2:15
saying no rain this weekend. Good Look how positive we are. We are
2:20
beautiful forecasts. Frick yeah, I mean yeah, I mean the world's eyes
2:23
on Vegas will see a beautiful rain free. I feel like it's already started,
2:28
like the celebrations. I mean, we're recording this right now on a
2:30
Tuesday in downtown Las Vegas, but I feel a lot of people are already
2:34
in town for the race. They've already started their celebrations. They're ready to
2:38
get this thing started. Man, well, they say New York is a melting pot. Go out and listen to the accents and the foreign language being
2:45
spoken in the streets of Las Vegas. The world is here for the spectacle
2:50
that is f one in Las Vegas. I will say the swiping has been
2:53
a lot more interesting on the dating apps. All these fine looking foreign men
2:59
on there. How does that work? I was thinking the same thing. So you're saying that the white the swiping changes. Oh yeah, So if
3:07
people are in town. They could be using travel mode, they could be
3:10
you know, or anybody that comes to town. You find that they you
3:15
can discover them on the dating apps. Interesting, and so I've seen a
3:17
lot of interesting because European men close proximity, they're all they're all in town
3:23
already. I feel a lot of them are. Yeah, Okay, so I'm trying to find a European bubble buddy over here. What's the app bubble
3:30
tender hinge? I'm trying to get on ray Tony. I think you have
3:35
an interesting perspective on it then, because I don't think a lot of us
3:38
were aware that they'd be getting in on a Tuesday for the But yeah,
3:42
they're coming to spend the week. Saturday, it's all over or really Sunday
3:45
morning, right, so they're going back Sunday Monday. They're here for the week. It makes sense they'd be here and everything starts on Thursday. Yeah.
3:51
So we were actually kind of preparing for this before we hit the on
3:54
mic on our on our studio here, and it's funny, we didn't know
3:58
a whole lot. We had to ask sure a bunch of questions like is it just Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and when is the race or what
4:03
time does it start? You listening to this right now may not realize it
4:08
doesn't start TLL ten o'clock on Saturday night. I pre show, I said
4:12
ten pm. You guys looked at me like you were shocked, like that's
4:14
the first time you'd heard about that. That's late. I get it. It's in Europe. You gotta be able to you know, so what they're
4:17
gonna watch it like eight in the morning there, and in the States they're
4:20
used to. F one fans in the States are used to watching on tape
4:24
delay because all of these things that happen in Europe, you're not watching them
4:27
in real time in the overnight. So the next morning you get on and
4:30
it's the tape delayed thing, you know, the race that you missed from
4:33
from last night. So that same thing will be going on. I think
4:35
in Europe this is going to be happening, you know, not quite prime
4:40
time, but definitely during the day for most of Europe where the key markets
4:45
are. But here it's ten pm at night. Think about New York. If you're an F one fan in New York, it's happening at one in
4:49
the morning. You're not gonna watch it in real time. You're gonna wake
4:51
up the next morning and watch the tape delayed race. So it's a unique
4:55
aspect of it. But yeah, ten o'clock at night, people ask me,
4:58
are you gonna watch it? Yes, I'm gonna watch it for about
5:00
fifteen minutes before I fall asleep because I go to bed on a Saturday night.
5:03
I don't know, not very not very often will you find me awake
5:06
at ten o'clock. But I'm guessing, and I'm going to go out on
5:10
a limb here. Locals that are excited for F one and know all the
5:14
things you just spoke about because they are F one fans are probably few and
5:17
far between. Most of them are probably bandwagon F one fans that they're pumped
5:20
with the party. Yeah, dude, I'm watching because I'm a Vegas fan.
5:23
I'm not an F one fan. I don't think maybe I could come
5:27
up with one driver's name, the guy who won it all. That's the
5:29
other negative that some people said about this Las Vegas Races. What they're competing
5:33
for has already been won, so this is kind of like just a showcase
5:38
kind of thing. But I'm not coming up with the guy's name. What
5:41
was the guy on Ricky Bobby? Was that John Pierre or something like that,
5:44
shaking Ricky Bob. That's the only one I know. Yeah, oh
5:47
yeah, you remember what I'm talking about. Yeah, the guy who played
5:49
Boratory. Well, American Express is the official art baron Conor. That's there.
5:55
You go. A funny individual. He's very funny, and he nailed
5:58
I mean, he nailed the accident. He honestly prepared for that. They're
6:01
the official partner American Expresses for Las Vegas first ever Grand Prix, and they're
6:06
gonna be doing a whole bunch of things as the weekend approaches. They're going
6:12
to be uh let's see, remember reading some of this over the North Coval
6:15
Zone presented by American Express is going to have the fan experience there, which
6:19
is happening Thursday through Saturday. It's an immersive three story activation. You got
6:24
to have an American Express card and be a member there for their guests U
6:28
plus three's how you get into that. It's access only through reservation, which
6:31
I think most of the things are around F one. It's adjacent to Coval
6:36
Straight. As drivers race to turn five, they're going to have F one
6:41
theme Friendship bracelets. Shout out to Taylor Swift Refreshments, Liquid Deaths and Moet
6:46
Hennessey and anyone with access to North Coval Zone by American Express can enjoy one
6:53
of a kind photo moments to commemorate the weekend outdoor seat seating areas with TVs
6:57
to via the F one broadcast tunes from DJs. They're gonna have food,
7:00
trucks and games and all sorts of fun side shows, and including a unique
7:06
mural designed by Las Vegas local muralists Mila May. I'm not familiar with her
7:12
work, but cool. That is cool that they're doing all of this.
7:15
It's exclusive because you got to have you know what that was, or you're
7:17
making fun. No, I don't know who. That is cool they're including
7:19
a local artist. I agree with you to think you're speaking to like people
7:24
listening to this podcast. They're not going to be at that thing, right
7:27
are they? I'm not to that part of it. No, But as
7:30
I tell you about some of the entertainment for the opening ceremonies, maybe maybe
7:33
right. I mean, look, they're covering every genre of who's performing at
7:39
this thing. Everyone from Major Laser, which is you know part diplo.
7:44
Mark Ronson Journey's going to be there. Now Rogers and Kylie Minogue just got
7:47
to and you were just bragging about Nole Rogers Rogers. Yeah, there's I
7:51
mean Steve aokj Balvin thirty seconds from ours. Jared Lettile might even climb our
7:56
Empire State Building, Swedish House. Mafia is going to be there, will
8:00
I am, Andrew Andre Day, Bishop Briggs there more. This is like
8:03
a paragraph form, so I'm trying to scan through it here. So what
8:07
you have a ticket to the race and it gets you into this ceremony,
8:11
this opening, this concert to open it up. What night is that concert?
8:13
It is on the November thirteenth race organized. I think this is throughout
8:18
the whole thing. Well, it's at multiple locations. It's at the Wink
8:22
Grid Club, It's at the Paddock Club, the Skybox, the Heinekens silvermin
8:24
grandstands. So they're spreading it out, got it over multiple locations throughout the
8:30
racetrack. It is interesting. Have you, I know you both have seen
8:33
that aerial shot of I guess one of the turns that they built with the
8:37
grandstands there. Yeah, I think, yeah, it's pretty. The aerial
8:41
shots all look great. It's gonna look good on television. Look, here's
8:45
the thing. We've all been a little negative. I say all pretty much
8:48
everybody I've heard from over the last two months. It's more than we expected
8:54
from a obstruction standpoint. I think you said last week, what was the
8:56
word you used, intrusive. Yeah, it's just been more intrusive than any
9:01
of us anticipated. We like to be able to when we go to the
9:05
strip, drive down the strip and see the fountains, but you can't,
9:07
and you haven't been able to for six weeks. So it's all been a
9:11
little more than we expected. And then the paving and the construction of it
9:15
all, and the headaches that it has caused in traffic, all of that's
9:18
been a negative. But look, all of that's a part of growing into
9:22
being a main location for F one for the next ten years. So all
9:28
growing requires some patients. And when you get past the initial period of growth,
9:35
I think what's gonna happen is we're gonna feel like old F one fans
9:39
like three years from now, like in year three of the race, we're
9:43
gonna be like, yeah, that's our race. Look how awesome it is.
9:46
We might even feel that this Saturday, but even in the lead up to it, I think in year three, by then we're gonna be like,
9:52
yes, of course we have one of the coolest F one races in
9:56
the world and it happens right here in our backyard. Of course we're going to feel that way. But this last two months it's been a lot.
10:01
Yeah, it has been a lot of inconveniences. And we we like to
10:05
tout that we are the entertainment capital of the world, and we are undisputedly
10:09
right. Sure, we've I've heard people say that we're becoming the sports capital
10:13
of the world. I would argue of America. But this is an important
10:16
stepping stone to be able to say that we are becoming a sports capital of
10:20
the world. The important stepping stone there, so sports is entertainment, and
10:26
the entertainment capital of the world should have an F one race, and if it doesn't, you got to build one. And the building of it is
10:31
sure to inconvenience some people for a minute, and when we get past it,
10:35
we'll all be F one fans. I just told you I don't know
10:39
an F one driver's name today, But in year three, am I going
10:41
to have a favorite driver or two favorite you know what I mean, Honey
10:45
Rock and his jersey them. You just might have a few swipeing on bumble.
10:48
Who knows he's already got some favorite drivers. Get them? Yeah,
10:54
yeah, thumb up them. Yeah, you could do that, or you
10:56
could swipe rights. Swipe right is a safe all right, well leap let
11:01
me know if there's any you swipe left on. I'm curious, how are
11:05
you not on a dating app? Or you're not saying why sorry? That's
11:09
why? Thank you? I did not know, see I am. It'll
11:13
be interesting to see, one how we react to what Las Vegas flexes and
11:18
surprises are going to be added throughout the whole spectacle of all of this that
11:22
we just don't know about in advance, or who travels here. I'm sure
11:26
any and everybody is going to be here, whether you're a celebrity, an
11:30
actor, an actress, dude, a drive like. I just think any and everybody's going to be here. And here's another thing to think about.
11:35
There's going to be things on the sphere that we've never seen before. That's
11:37
your account on that I see from my television right through my TV the window
11:43
to the world right there out Centennial Hill, look enjoying it. Maybe I'll
11:46
even have a Heineken Silver as look at that of the F one. It'll
11:52
be interesting to see what we do with it and what how they take it
11:58
all down. Look, anytime you do something new, there's gonna be growing
12:01
pains. There's gonna be things, learning curves that you have to get past
12:03
in year one. If this is gonna be a scale down version of in
12:07
terms of set up next year, the great, then we've got through the pains in the first year. I hope that's the case, and I'm gonna
12:11
stay positive and just say it at that. Just hopefully they can get everything
12:16
dismantled and take it down so we can get our beautiful strip back, you
12:20
know, in just the season. No, in time for Super Ball.
12:24
Oh no, we got the holidays first, come on trees back in in
12:26
front of the Bolagio. I'm sure they will, like I would like,
12:31
is this unrealistic to say, hey, Black Friday is going to be like a week after the race. Can we get it back by then? Yeah?
12:35
Right? I don't know. Yeah, I will be complaining if it
12:39
takes them just as long to tear it down as it took them to put it up, all the grand stands in the viewing areas and platforms and everything
12:46
that's obstructing view right now, if it takes a long time to get it torn down, I'll be complaining at that. Well, they said, they
12:52
said when they tore down the trees at the Blangio that they will have new
12:54
trees up for Christmas or for the Christmas season. So that leads me to
12:58
believe like by the time, like in a far it's here, that's got
13:00
to all be taken down. That's two weeks. We'll see. You're all
13:03
the clock F one But a great look for our city. Let's all hope
13:07
for the best. I think F one will become a point of pride for
13:11
people who live here, but right now it just doesn't feel like that.
13:16
But let's see how you feel on you know, Sunday night. Yeah, gonna be a point of pride or a point of pain. That is TVD.
13:22
So far it's been all pain and no pride. But we're gonna hopefully turn the tide as Saturday approaches ten o'clock really o'clock PM, Okay, And
13:30
I think it'll be pride because you got Donnie Osmond doing the yeah anthem.
13:35
Then you got over sixty flag carriers while he's doing the national anthem, local
13:41
teachers yep from the Hunderson District, along with some students. So I mean,
13:43
I like, to your point, I'm glad they're including us in this,
13:48
you know event. That's a great point. I didn't really even consider the locals that are activated throughout all the different ways they're bringing him in.
13:54
That's cool that they're doing that. Yeah, here's a positive. Okay,
13:58
if you want last tickets, they're way cheaper than we talked, very true.
14:03
Or or you could spend seven thousand dollars to go to Club Sports Illustrated
14:07
to check out Shaquie O'Neil and David Beckham seven thousand dollars can get a selfie
14:13
with them. That's kind of cool. Geez. Yeah, okay, all
14:16
right, we'll see. I'm gonna withhold judgment until after this is all said
14:20
and done. But it's it looks like it's a Vegas spectacle like we normally
14:24
do when events like this come to our city. Let's just hope that to
14:28
your point, we can get transitioned out of it easy and less painfully than
14:31
it was going into it. I think we stayed positive. We said we
14:35
would. We did. Hey, by the way, that was ten minutes.
14:37
You know how hard that was. All right? You're sweating a little bit, That's how hard it was. All right? Can we talk about
14:43
how awesome it was to see our Vegas Golden Knights in suits at the White
14:48
House this week for their photo op, and that's congratulation that made me happy
14:54
for The President said something to the liking, and I don't know if this is a direct quote, but it's this. The idea of what he said
15:00
was that it was against all odds that we got there. Oh did he
15:03
say that something that was against all of It was a different clip that I
15:07
heard something like that. I listened to the full speech from the President US
15:13
or something to that. He pulled the chips stacked against this bitch. I
15:16
don't know if that was the exact quote, but it was the idea of
15:20
we didn't see that coming. The clip I heard was so right on and
15:22
well written for him. Was I was just going to say, you know,
15:26
somebody wrote that for him, that that team has meant so much to
15:30
this community. And then he referenced on October, so you know, for
15:33
all the reasons that we know as people who live here. Yes, of
15:35
course that team has meant so much to this community. And then to do
15:39
what they did last year, and look, I don't know any f one drivers names, but I know all those dudes in the White House yesterday and
15:46
they had a blast Mark Stone for president because he took the podium and I'm
15:52
like, he kind of looks like a natural up there. I mean he's
15:54
Canadian. Maybe he's Canadian. I don't know what I was going to say
15:56
that would prevent him from being in the White House for that reason, maybe
16:00
he maybe he couldn't be president. If you're suggesting he couldn't, all right,
16:03
you're probably right. But they didn't give the microphone to William Carlson.
16:08
That was a safe idea. After the parade, let's not do that.
16:12
He was sober, though it looked like the President was like, I've been
16:15
there since day one, and he winked at William Carlson. Yeah, okay.
16:21
So we're happy for them and they continue to have a strong season. And then we got and they're playing the Washington team tonight to Capitals and it's
16:29
a tough road trip, obviously, a hard start to the hot start to
16:33
the season. They're the best team in hockey, but a lot of road
16:36
games ahead. Most of the rest of November, they're on the road.
16:40
There's only one more home game this month. So yeah, I mean that's
16:44
a tough thing. They've got to go five hundred maybe you know, maybe
16:47
better than that on this road trip. Well, it's good you said five hundred because that is where our Raiders stand now. Look at the beginning of
16:52
the season, and I know this is still a long shot, but they're
16:55
not out of contention for the playoffs. So you know, with our Super Bowl being here, there have been two Super Bowls in history that have had
17:02
the home team have home field at the Super Bowl, and it's still in
17:06
the cards for us. It's not out of the cards. Let me put it that way. Yeah, five and five. You can make the playoffs.
17:10
From five and five. You got to get hot, and you're gonna have to beat some good teams. They've got the Chiefs twice, they've got
17:14
the Chargers, they've got a tough schedule. You've beaten some easy teams to
17:18
get back to five hundred, and the Giants and the Jets. So you
17:22
five hundred go out and prove that you belong and then maybe you'll be in
17:25
the mix at the end of the season. And since they fired their GM and coach and bench Jimmy Garoppolo, the killing it dude. Yeah, everything
17:32
seems to be pointing in the right direction again. Some tough games ahead that
17:36
they'll have to play. They'll have to play better than we've seen them play
17:40
to beat the Chiefs. Well, anything could happen. I'm just happy to
17:44
see them putting some wins on the boards. Yeah, they're fun to watch, man. It has been fun. A little talented guys on that team.
17:48
And we begin some good looks too with you know what, was it Sunday night football too? So with the Chiefs two games, if we can
17:55
take one of those, that's a good look. Yeah, I agree, get that home game for sure. And Taylor, i'm't or what, I'm
18:00
just curious, all right. So the Raiders, we've talked, the Golden
18:03
Knights. Oh you have a kill that one band, the Killers, the
18:07
Killers. Gosh, that one band. Did that you say quote unquote first
18:11
Vegas ballad, the favorite band, Las Vegas favorite group. Right, you
18:17
say something about Las Vegas first band. That'll be in the Rock and Roll
18:19
Hall of Fame. I think they'll be in the Rock and Roll Hall of
18:22
Fame first ballot. I know you disagree. So they're coming out with a
18:26
compilation album on December eighth. Look, if you're a Killers fan, this
18:29
is supposed to span their twenty years. Can you believe it's been twenty years
18:32
of Killers music since Hot Fuss and so twenty years. I guess they're gonna
18:37
it's like their favorite songs of the twenty years in order consequence, consequence,
18:42
what's the worst? Sequentially? There you go in order, like, look
18:45
at me coming up with the worst? What's going on when they came out?
18:48
So yeah, I mean I looking forward to it on a new song
18:51
on their December eighth. It's called Rebel Diamonds New Killers Music. This isn't
18:55
the greatest hits per se, it's their favorites, right. I think it's
18:59
like songs they've chosen for this compilation. They did a greatest Hits like ten
19:03
years ago, so this is the next one, you know, at their twenty year anniversary. So yeah, I think it's their favorite songs. But
19:07
also, how are you gonna leave out mister Brightside and some of those songs
19:11
everybody loves, but maybe it'll be a special version or something. And the greatest hits that was called hot Fuss. Right. Hot Fuss was their first
19:17
though joke. I had one joke, Why are you hating? I'm not
19:19
hating. I it sounds like hate. No, we've said this before on
19:23
the podcast. You and I have gone round and round. I think they're
19:26
a great band. I think they will mee in the Rock and All Hall of Fame. I just don't think first ballot, that's all. But do
19:30
you love them or do you hate them? I think they're okay? Okay,
19:33
so that's hate my no. I know. I say one of the
19:36
best bands twenty years and you're like, they're okay, they're good. They're
19:40
good. That's different than okay, okay, you're right. I'm sorry. They are good. Scale of one to ten, how good are they for
19:45
you? From one being the word like one, I can't listen to it
19:48
ten. It's one of my favorite bands. I have to go see them
19:52
when they're in town. They are one of my top three favorite bands from
19:55
Las Vegas. Oh, he's avoiding. You heard eight for me? I'd
20:00
say six or six or seven for me? Comfortable. Well, that's not
20:03
okay, six or seven? Like, let's just put you in the seven
20:07
group. That's not okay, that's like you like that, that's good,
20:10
Okay, you're right there. Okay, Like I'll go see if they were
20:15
in town tonight and I offered you free tickets, would you would you go?
20:18
Yeah? Out of respect? Yeah? No, no no, would you go because you want to go? And out of respect to them?
20:22
I would go because I mean, that's a great opportunity to see a band
20:26
that has beloved in this town that is playing at hometown show. Yeah,
20:29
I would go. All right, let's say it's Puddle of Mud. Now,
20:32
if you said it's one hundred dollars a ticket, I'm Puddle the Mud.
20:34
Nickelback or the Killers? Who are you going to see? Mojo?
20:38
Oh? Never made it as a blund No, I'm going to the Killers.
20:44
If from that, that was like the most telling oof I've ever heard,
20:49
Like Nickelback, they're good. See I got a bad Oh no,
20:55
yes, I'm hating. I was doing Puddle of Mud to two okay because
20:59
she said puddle of and I thought, maybe Sener you love puffy. Nickel
21:03
Back is a solid eight for me. Okay, okay, and that was
21:06
got that out of the way. You can throw. I don't think you have good taste in music. I think you're wrong about the Killers I have.
21:11
I genuinely have commercial taste in music, so I like songs on the
21:15
radio. I'm a big fan of the radio. And uh, that's that's
21:19
probably a fault to some people in terms of how I view music. But
21:23
familiarity is important to you. If you don't know it, and if you
21:26
can't sing along with it, then it's not right. You know, for
21:29
whatever reason, it didn't cut through for you. That's probably why I put Imagine Dragons on a bigger pedestal. Yeah. I think they're a great band,
21:34
and they've got hits. They are an excellent band. They've got more
21:37
hits. Songs that are bigger than Killers are nine from me. By the
21:40
way, I'm a nine. I had no doubt I was gonna say ten. I thought it would be ten. I thought you'd say ten. You're
21:45
a big fan. I probably only have a handful of tens. I don't
21:49
know if the Killers are there yet. Okay, one more, what's your
21:52
favorite Killer song? Oh, it's impossible to pick a favorite. I I
21:57
probably don't go Hot Fuss with it. I think, oh, it's not
22:02
impossible. My favorite song is is when You Were Young? Oh that's this
22:08
is perfect. You know what's the Samstown album more than I like the Hot
22:12
Fuss album. And there's probably six or eight songs I've loved since the Samstown
22:18
album. So I actually, this is going to be shocking to everybody in
22:22
the room and listening. Let's I agree with Tony. That was my favorite
22:25
Killer song. It's a fantastic song, stop, an unreal fantastic song.
22:30
And I was an expert level on guitar Hero playing that song. Oh is
22:36
it a guitar Hero song? I never did that. I haven't played that in forever. I played if they had it at an arcade. I went
22:40
to a David Busser's here in town and they had it. So I totally played When we were Young the Killers. Yeah, so weird. You and
22:45
I agree on that song. It's a great Killer song. You're right about
22:48
that, and not off a hof buss. Okay, you haven't announcement,
22:52
which is a great segue. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's when we
22:56
were young announcing the next day for next year. Nice segue. We didn't
23:00
even have that in our notes. But yeah, they announced the lineup for
23:03
year three of When We Were Young. Yeah, and it's only one day
23:06
next year Saturday Actubern. They start with one day, they'll out a second
23:10
as it sells out. You think that's what they did last year and the year before. They did three the year before because of demand. So they'll
23:15
they'll timper demand based, they'll out of shows based on how many people want
23:19
tickets. Gotcha My Chemical Romance, fall Off Boy, my favorite, and
23:25
who I'm looking forward to? Who gets an absolute solid ten? The used,
23:30
The used is good, They're underrated. Jimmy World Pier. I think
23:34
this year's lineup is a better lineup. I love Green Day, but this
23:38
year's lineup is a better lineup for me than last year's lineup. And I
23:44
don't agree with that only because the headliners were bigger. The Blink Green Day
23:48
pairying was massive the year before Spring Yeah, it was Paramore and My Chemical
23:52
Romance the year before, right, Yep, So you're bringing bringing back some
23:56
they're bringing back simple Plan, the bringing back all American reads, bring it
24:00
back May Day Parade. Yeah, so there is some resampling of what they've
24:03
had in the past with the lineup. But I get it, there's only
24:06
so many bands from that era, right right. People love it, so why are you going to try to I don't know, reinvent it. Just
24:11
put it back out there again. People love it's loved. It's become one
24:15
of the best festivals of the year. It's a vibe, it's a great,
24:18
great event, and those it's that's a cool venue too. I enjoyed
24:22
myself out there. But my question is, speaking from my Warped Tour years
24:26
and experience, there's got to be a time when all good things come to
24:30
an end. So I'm just curious to see how long it has a run
24:34
for at some point. Yeah, that's a great point. Well how long
24:37
did warp Tour went on for two years? Like twenty years? Yeah,
24:41
Now you take away the top line of that lineup. You can just shuffle
24:45
reshuffle that over and over and over again. But you got to have those
24:47
anchor bands. Yeah, And I judge it off of that and follow out
24:51
Boy. By the way, if you haven't seen Fallout Boy in a decade, they've leveled up. Like we saw him at our iHeart Radio Music Festival.
24:56
They were fantastic. In fact, I was, I was shook,
25:00
and how much better they've gotten over the years. They sounded great, their
25:03
vocals were great, the pyrotechnics they were literally I could do without the Billy
25:08
Joel cover, but I digress. Who's uh Billy Joel's one of the greats.
25:11
I know. But the whole recing, you know, we didn't start
25:14
the fire with kind of corny. That's like we see the third grade teachers
25:17
do for their class, you know, to teach them about history. What band in that genre hasn't been added to any of the lineups yet? Is
25:23
there anybody they've missed, like in that genre or adjacent to the genre that
25:27
they've missed? I predicted Fallout Boy and Weezer. Weezer hasn't done Weezer hasn't
25:33
done it. Good Charlotte they had this year which was awesome. Who else
25:38
the US, which is what they're doing next year? The three eleven at
25:41
that thing they did first year? Didn't they three eleven fits? No?
25:48
I think they did first year really almost positive. I feel it's more like
25:52
the reggae It still fits vibe. Yeah, anyway, it's still those tickets
26:00
Chili Peppers fit. If they ever had absolutely the Eleves. Okay, you
26:04
think the Chili Peppers fits absolutely? Yeah, they played Lollapalooza that I mean,
26:10
the Lolla Pluza is still part of that. How about a no Doubt
26:12
reunion with no doubt No doubt would be big Smashing Pumpkins would fit on that
26:18
although Nirvana, well, well I know, let's not get crazy, all
26:22
right, all right, food fighters always I don't think of food Fighters in
26:26
those terms, but okay, yes, whatever you like. It is like
26:30
punk rock, I feel like, yeah, but they could they could do
26:33
a sick New World Fest. Yeah, I think they're a little I don't
26:37
know they're heavy enough for that. I think that the fans of all those bands would also stay for food Fighters. You know what I'm saying. They
26:41
would be like I get to see all those bands and food Fighters, all
26:45
right, I'm in anyway, When do those tickets go on sale? This
26:48
Friday? This Friday is when the pre sale starts at ten o'clock and then
26:53
all tickets to start at nineteen ninety dollars or nineteen ninety nine down. Cool,
26:57
you get twenty dollars off four ticket a payment plan all right, Yeah,
27:03
three eighty comes later. But yeah, Look, if you haven't done
27:06
the festival, it's fun. Now map your day out because you can't fit
27:10
it all in one oh no way. So there you go. That's all we have and we did it. We were positive about F one next week
27:17
continues to be positive. We don't have a bunch of headaches that we're going to complain about. Yeah, I'm gonna try not to watch the news just
27:25
to see, you know, because I don't want to see their negative. I'm sure they're gonna have Like I'm sure there's gonna be accidents. I'm sure
27:29
there's gonna be you know, the news is generally positive about it because there's
27:33
advertising is attached. But true, if you don't, if you want to
27:37
avoid the negativity, just stay on Twitter. I mean that's that's where everybody's
27:41
going to go to complain. Well, we'll be here to talk about what we're thankful for, and we'll let you know if that's a part of it,
27:45
if we're going to be seeing F yeah or F no. As we
