# 013 - Pam Bernard was an Early Childhood Center/Daycare Director when she had a student with cancer.  The child was allowed to attend based on the oncologist's approval. However, she and the daycare played a pivotal role, ensuring there were constant communications and a partnership between the pediatric oncology patient, parents, and the teachers. Social workers were welcomed into the daycare to help educate teachers on what to expect. Not every child can attend daycare, but if your child can or does at any point, this episode will benefit you greatly.
