#010 - Mette de Fine Licht, was a teen when diagnosed with cancer. She drew from the strength of the community during treatment. Currently, she is a writer and advocate located in Denmark. Friends and supportive parents surrounded her. Mette realized the real value of friendship and love, even though it could not cure her. She used their support to separate herself, whenever possible, from, as she calls it 'sick Mette.'  Mette also discusses the emotional struggles and loss of self when all people lose hair due to cancer treatment. And to wrap up the episode, she gives some helpful hints for parents of newly diagnosed children.

I had a cold during the recording so I apologize for my voice being off.
