Shame is a poem inspired from watching So many racist brutal attacks on black people in the USA. George Floyd was the anger I felt for people in this country who live in a developed country yet their arrest laws are very outdated and impacted mostly the black community. I wrote it as felt ashamed that as a human being we still in this day and age witness the law being used to harm not protect. In a way although I did not March in 2020, I felt the need to express that upset through this poetry.
